I look at Tyler Perry the same way I look at Master P, interestingly enough another black man from the N.O. around the same age as Tyler.
While artistically, they often times represent everything thats bad with their particular form of entertainment, commercially they lay out blueprints that should give us hope. Like, "if you don't like the product I'm putting out, I've broken the game down to you in its simplest form, run with it and put out better product!".
Neither one of them relied on luck, skill or a particular talent, just hard work and determination to feed the savages. Whats funny is that those of us with the talent don't work as hard nor are we typically in tune with the demand for a particular product because we're so consumed with our talent/passion
Its just like McDonald's, you don't grow to become the #1 franchise of all time by being concerned with people's health. All you know is people want food they can eat on the go with their hands and they want it fast! So basically what I'm saying is, let that no talent, suspect, stereotypical, bamboozling nikka cook!
