the entire premise of this retarded article is completely invalidated by the simple proven fact of income inequality and how severe its gotten in the last decade.

this article is the easiest thing ever to refute.

the rich have been getting more & more money than everyone else especially the poor and yet look at the current state of the economy.

how is it even possible for people as moronic as the author of that article to find there way thru life much less find a job? the smartest thing that mfer can do is kill himself.

Whats keeping everyone else from getting more and more money?:ehh:

If they dont have the requisite skills that the local market demands for being employed for a particular industry then :francis:...increasing federal minimum wage to $15 will just drive more corporations across seas, especially with these supped up trade agreements that will be in place..you socialist/communist supporters fail to account for these issues when waving the palm palm for these unrealistic goals in this type of economy

This has already happened to all the worthwhile low skilled jobs. These trade agreements are just making it easier than its already been for decades.

Only reason these laws are being considered is because these big corporations have invested billions in paying politicians to fight on their behalf instead of being a representative of the general population like the government is supposed to be.

Trade agreements needs to be stopped.

Minimum wage needs to be increased and any u.s. based company that takes away jobs from American citizens should be penalized harshly or outright banned from selling in the u.s.

U.s. citizens should receive big tax breaks for purchasing products manufactured in the U.S.

Companies should receive tax breaks for manufacturing in the U.S.

Your a little light there on specifics, but heavy on generalizations and innuendos

Getting away from this threads topic but things like socialized medicine, decommodification of education, a more robust welfare state, etc.

Those are good ideas, especially the decommodification of education, but again will never work in this economy or society...I mean look at education in this country..People care more about the football and basketball teams of higher education institutions rather than the actual programs that are offered..University of Alabama profits over 100 million just off football alone, you think there gonna give up that even though Alabama is the 45th poorest state in the union? lol

Quality of business also is affected when companies start releasing workers because they are cheap. If you can't afford to run your business while paying a living wage, you need to downsize said business or be out of the market.
its that simple. people keep trying to spin it.

if i open up a coffee shop. and i me and the wife are working there alone. we decide to hire 4 young employees. and pay them $8/hr. so we no longer have to work there. we can now just collect checks.

well that means we need to downsize into 2 employees, or maybe we need to get off our hands and get back in the coffee shop. until we can find ways to bring in more income. if we do that, then and only then should we expand by adding one employee at a time that we can afford at a living wage. its real simple folks.

in essense a lot of big and small businesses have expanded using people's ultra low pay to do it. which is completely unfair to your workers. you're not creating REAL jobs. you're creating CHEAP LABOR jobs. thats not what we're trying to push here in the states ARE WE?

Little confused on what you're asking here. Outsourcing is just a particularly potent expression of the oppressive nature of capital, actively seeking out the weakest workers to exploit to greater ends. Which demonstrates the inefficiency of capital, making a product meant for one market thousands of miles away from that market to seek greater profit. Inefficient and an ecological catastrophe

Marxists favor free trade in theory, but in practice trade agreements are used to enrich elites and often only further impoverish and imiserate developing nations' workforces(see the collapse of Mexican corn farming post nafta). So most Marxist oppose these deals. Though Marxism is a very, very broad intellectual umbrella. Lotta disagreement over all things
bingo, which goes to my thread Slavery is Capitalism's best friend.
