1. Good post, didn't know JFK was a racist. What about his race speech he gave in June 1963?

2. Also, which U.S. presidents would you say were the most agressive/confident/assertive when it came to pushing policy they wanted through? You mentioned Obama being limp-wristed and was wondering which former U.S. presidents do you feel were opposite of that?

3. WHich U.S. presients woudl you say were the greatest orators/public speakers?
1. Kennedy held back a long time on helping King, as he was already Catholic and feeling lucky to get that vote and feared backlash. He was also very slow to order any kind of protection for Black sitin's and other integration efforts. RFK was too. The race speech was just historical drivel like Obamas.

2. Teddy Roosevelt and Thomas Jefferson. They would nearly commit war with the opposition to get their agendas passed, as well as fight a war.

3. That's a hard question as I don't have access to the tenor of the speeches, so I have to go with the audio age. With that, Obama likely is the frontrunner, followed by FDR and then Kennedy.

Try to compromise in Washington and continue the policies of Obama which are extremely popular with progressives and the black community?:jbhmm:
how has those policies really helped the middle/broke class? we're all still hurting. they say 100k aint enough in new Yawk. i'm reading comments for people renting high end apartments in downtown L.a. that were already paying $2500 for a 1 bedroom, talking about "if they keep going up on the rent, i will have to move."

we always hear the complaints about how expenses college/trade school has become. how much debt students are already sitting on. let alone the old heads that have old student loan debt.

what is Hill going to do about these things?

Where are the jobs coming from for the 50% unemployed that mr Sanders keep speaking of when he talks about young blacks?

for starters, get elected.
terrible logic. that does NOTHING for black people. JUST getting elected means ZILCH for middle class/ broke people.
an elected official that doesnt have a trackrecord of PEOPLE policies aside from possibly helping white women get equal pay. i just aint seeing it yall. but maybe yall can explain further. POLICIES BRUHS, POLICIES.

I give up:ehh: Go bernie :ehh:
the reason they may not work with hillary is because she's a women. They hate women as much if not more than they hate black men. especially when it comes to someone telling them what to do. At the end of the day "ITS A MAN'S WORLD" still stands. So MEN on average dont like to listen to WOMEN. even when its in their best interest to do so.

White men will talk to other white men and have a drink with them, etc, etc.

is it right? NOPE. is it real? YEP.

you darn near need to get a lady in office when things are already running real smooth and we have a nice surplus. everyone is pretty much happy and back to work. then throw in a lady thats smart and can lead. so she looks good without having to do a lot. then it could change the tide of how MEN in general see women in leadership roles.

Another thing. people say how could bernie get things gone and he's further left then the centrist/corporatists Hillary?

For one he cant get things done on his own. The type of campaign bernie is running is talking about the people stepping up to vote, not just for him. but for others that are not on the take/payroll of the few rich. and actually put people in office that care about YOU and your issues when they get to washington. that goes for repub constituents as well. its enough of this vote for whoever rush tells me too(who is ultra rich). or vote for who the koch bros tell me too(who are ultra ballers.) the more the repub people choose level headed folks that aint tainted. the more we can all get things done as a nation. that goes for dem voters too. stop voting for status quo candidates that have never done the PEOPLE any favors. this is truly what Bern is pushing for.

But because you guys are so stuck in the idea of "we can't change it.. .its to far gone." it will never actually change. so you will keep voting for these corporatists. while you think you're doing so well voting blue. blue/red wont mean much. think about it. for all the fun we had during the clinton era. when his policies had time to marinate. most of us took L's did we not? We took L's like we were told we would take if we let a Repub in office. This is what people mean when they say both parties are the same. if they are both on the take. they are identical.

How can you get money out of politics if you a the chance of a life time to vote for a non money guy and you choose not to, then you choose to vote for yet another corporate puppet.

Think about that for a moment. when will it stop? how will it ever get better for the rest of us if we keep doing the exact same thing expecting a different result?

It's such an easy point to attack. But you didn't touch my same question about Bush II. So you're a bit of a bully.

Truth be told, they would likely be able to work better with Hillary as they're both pigs from the same trough, so Hillary stans have a point here. But it's not like Bernie is going to be impotent, as he's riding in on a stunted dramatic sea change that Obama didn't use at all, and is just stronger now.

And no, there are way too many women in the GOP to be saying that they have a problem being led by one. They just hate liberal women, and Hillary is not a liberal.

The point is they wouldnt work with either... Trying to get them to work with them is a fools game. The point is to force them to vote against theit constituients interests using the bully pulpit
