Who has ever called a man taking care of his family a simp?
When you're young, the older women in your life treat their affection and attention as prizes that you have to work for and jump through hoops to get.
So whenever you see a girl/woman that you want to be close to, you instinctively jump through hoops and work for her affection and attention.
Notice that when a "simp" DOES actually get with a chick or gets married, she's a bitter human being. Angry, manipulative, spiteful, deceitful, may be abusive, may have actual full blown mental problems.
That's because that's the only kind of woman a "simp" is comfortable with. The worse they get treated, the more they "work".

There's plenty of men that teach young boys/men to always be gentle with women, treat them well, spend money on them and put up with the things they do. People underestimate the fact that every one isn't built the same mentally. Not every guy is naturally tough on women, some dudes are the opposite and have no ability to stand up for themselves against women. Women can run over these dudes and they're either stuck like this for their whole life or they need to get their heart broken to wake up.

Simping is backward behavior because men were taught to do this with ALL women instead of the RIGHT woman. In reality, women don't even respect simping. Especially if you're just starting out with a woman. Even in relationships or marriages, there is a thing as too much simping. Plenty of dudes do EVERYTHING for their GF/ wife and live that "happy wife, happy life" lifestyle, but have no backbone and still get taken advantage of, cheated on, divorced, etc.
There's nothing wrong with taking care of your lady who's proven to be down with you, but there has to be a balance. Is she putting in as much effort as you? Does she truly appreciate all you do and has no problem showing that? If so, keep doing your thing. Once that scale tips over heavily on the simp side though, that dude is in trouble.
