What did we think of Pete Rock's Soul Survivor?

He started fukking with the 2000xl,but he would have been better going to the 60 or even the 3000...

I havent really kept up with him lately though

the NY album is cool but has some collabs i wouldnt expect from him (like Jim Jones)... the new joint with Camp Lo is aight as well..he hasnt been as natural and consistent as Soul Survivor since though..and SS is kind of slept on in a way, since he's mainly known for Pete & CL.

The album is a personal Classic of mine, as another poster said its kinda slept on. I think the album lacked a feature from say Nas and/or Jay or even AZ. A big feature from Nas or Jay could have pushed the album in terms of sales. It didn't even gold, whereas DJ Clue's Professional 1 & 2 both went plat or nearly plat; both of which are inferior to Soul Survivor imo.
