you not missing nuffin from a pete rock on the mic perspective.
it was one of the low quality lackluster releases, for that low quality release year.
personally, I have wanted to give that record the dana owens, on plenty of struggle force listens.

dude I don't know, with music so readily available on this thing called the internet and youtube I figured the time it took you to create a topic about it you could just go listen to it..
I was just cranky this morning, breh. I don't listen to something if I know I want to buy it. I will sample it on amazon or maybe give it a onetime listen on spotify, but I tend not to listen to it too much because I don't like to ruin my first listening experience of the album after I buy it.

You don't want me to talk, about Pete rock's Deplorably awful skill at rapping ruining every record.
Especially, since everybody scared to say the real, and not mention that.
in their horrifically one-sided review and glossed over that point, entirely.
Pete rock literally makes very record unlistenable.
Every verse is infinitely worse than his wack sprite commercial appearance.
That is given a pass cause it was in the legendary leo burnett series.
that helped make the culture a worldwide marketing giant.

I agree with Art, Pete Rock has no business being on the mic. Beats were KILLERS though on this one and the guests make it worth your listen.

Pete was fine on the mic to me. the album aint about his verses. i dont think he ruins any of the songs and he has a great voice imo
Agree with this it's a producer album with banging beats all the way through and some dope features from some of the best mc's in game. The features really bring the album together and although Pete is far from being top tier mc his verses fit fine on the album.

I am ashamed to say I forgot about this album completely. Haven't even thought about it once in about 10 years. This was easily one of the best releases of that year.
