That’s not fukking up but I’m sure the sentiment is that Kanye wanted one of them to become the megastar that he was/is so he could simply eat off of them and fall back. Basically what Akon was able to do once Lady Gaga took off, it probably would have allowed Ye to become what he’s become now, just earlier. But in no world are Cudi or Sean or Lupe considered unsuccessful rappers in general.

But Sean is just ..meh as a personality to me if it makes sense.

Dude got skills. He wrote a lot on Graduation. And he’s a successful rapper who literally had to switch his style like 3 times because the industry bit his shyt. The whole premise of this thread comes off haterish when u look at what he actually did for Kanye. It’s easy to see why he signed him.

A friend of mine was in the studio with Kanye and Travis in 2012/13 when Kanye was giving him a lecture. Ye said he passed Lupe, Cudi and Sean the torch but they failed and he doesn’t want Trav to fukk up like them.

If he said that he’s a piece of shyt. Travis is a damn fraud. Them 3 nikkas he shytted on are actual artists who were pretty successful off their own merit. He better thank Lupe for Late Registration, he better thank Big Sean for Graduation, and thank Kudi for 808s and Heartbreaks.
