Bout to jump on this detail after a cup of coffee

Got some spacers for my wheels coming tomorrow

That should be it for the exterior

Next week I’m hoping to get some rack time at my folk’s shop and replace my upper oil pan gasket which has a minor leak. Unfortunately the subframe needs to be dropped in order to get to it :unimpressed:

which ones u picked up?

I got a bottle of their Headlight Restore & Protect and a bottle of their Jetseal.

Wet sanded them using a bucket of water, a sponge, and a couple sheets of 2500 grit sandpaper. I then used a power drill with some buffer attachments for the restore product, though you could probably get away with doing it by hand. I then used a microfiber pad to apply the jetseal to protect them from clouding over again. Hopefully it's good enough to only have to apply once or twice a year from now on.

Spent 9 hours detailing my exterior today. I highly recommend the meguire's ultimate compound that I used, as it got rid of some moderate oxidation in my paint and really brought the sparkles back out in the finish. Did it by hand too, wasn't sure if it would was going to necessitate a buffer before starting the job, but it came out great.

Took off all my rims and detailed them inside and out using a claybar, polish, and wax today and then installed my new spacers.

I forgot to mention that you may not need to wet sand them with paper depending on their condition. The compound in their restore solution works pretty well on it's own. Do add a separate sealant like the Jetseal I recommended afterwards though. Otherwise it'll just cloud up again in a couple months most likely.

It's really easy, shouldn't take more than twenty minutes unless they're totally destroyed . You may as well try it out with all this time off lol. You'll be glad you know how to do it and still have plenty of solution left when they inevitably yellow again.

Up a picture of the worst one

Replacing my upper oil pan gasket right now. Had to hoist the engine and drop the sub frame to get to it. Doing the motor mounts too. Wasn't even that bad of a leak. I don't know why I do this to myself :snoop:

Got to use my friend's parts washer to clean the pans though :steviej:

Got a late start today, so I'm gonna put it all back together tomorrow.

Replaced my sway bar bushings and auto-leveling headlight sensor which broke when I did my control arms a couple weeks back. At this point I've replaced all the major engine gaskets and rebuilt the entire front end suspension. I think my car is at 100% now.
