From any standpoint, there the favorites. What does a team like the spurs, Knicks, clippers, grizzlies, etc need to beat the heat in a best of 7 series? I think it's a good physical defender, dominant offensive & or defensive, and spot up shooters. A similar build to the 2011 mavs

A hope and a prayer..

1. Do not turnover the basketball. The Heat are a much better half court team than they were in 2011 vs. Dallas but I'd rather keep them in the half court the majority of the game.

2. You need elite defenders at the back court and the wings. Play man to man with some help. You need a legit rim protector back there ala Tyson Chandler, Garnett, etc.

3. Rebound the basketball. Size matters vs. MIA and if you have a squad like Memphis or Indiana, you must exploit a Shane Battier guarding a David West or Zach Randolph.

4. Move the ball and don't play one on one. There are exceptions of course.

You also have to hope the Heat can have some miscues with turnovers and go cold from 3. But this is the formula to beat Miami in a 7 game series. Boston had many chances last postseason before LeBron's iconic Game 6.

However, this season. No one in the East stands a chance vs. Miami.

OKC isn't beating Miami with LeBron being in KD's head.

San Antonio needs to be healthy and Parker must return to the level he was playing at a month or so ago. Duncan is ready. Despite the regular season sweep, I think the Spurs at full health can win in 7 just due to Pop, the veterans, and a couple of the younger guys in Leonard/Splitter playing good basketball. But everything would have to go right for SA of course.

Memphis always plays Miami tough and in a finals series, I wouldn't expect different. I would say Miami wins a physical series because of Memphis sometimes having trouble scoring. They are similar to Indiana in that fashion. The difference is that Memphis has Mike Conley who can run the show much better than a George Hill.

Denver has the depth to keep up but I doubt they make it far. The Clippers are obviously a bit soft and also rely on playing an up and down game. Miami is the best at playing at those paces.

2011 Mavs would get destroyed by this Heat team. If Bron plays like himself they woulda swept them then. Even with him playing :wrist: they were a couple shots shy of doing it anyway. You beat the Heat by hoping for an injury or hoping for another bout of bytchsassness for Bron. Not sure how anybody beats them 4 out of 7 if they are healthy and playing to their capabilites.

I Think That's Where The Knicks Had Success Against The Heat, Since The Beginning Of The Season The Knicks Have Been The Best Team In The NBA Not Turning The Ball Over, And They Won The Turnover Battle In Both Those Blowouts Of The Heat. Limiting 2nd Chance Points And Fastbreaks (Where They're Deadly) Is Huge

Also The Rebounding Between Them Was Virtually Dead Even But The Knicks Killed Them On The Offensive Boards (More 2nd Chance Points For The Knicks)

I Know Some Heat Fans Shrug Off The Losses Like "Who Cares They Were Hot From 3" But It Goes A Little Deeper Then That When You Actually Break It Down

Also No One Read Into This Like Im Saying The Knicks Are Beating Them In A 7, Im Just Giving My Assessment On The Turnover Thing

That's why the thunder have trouble , that and a jump shooting team leads to more opportunities for Bron and them to get into transition :yeshrug: gives them like 20 extra points and kd isn't getting calls on Bron

The problem here is that the teams that can out rebound Miami have problems scoring and everyone else cant match them on defense.

Heck im a mavs fan and even i concede that had lebron averaged 22 points per game instead of 19 the heat would be going for the three peat right now:yeshrug:

Don't turn the ball over, and play good half court offense and you got a shot.

Its going to be hard for you nikkas because the Heat are so well balanced. They're not just an offensive team, they can win low scoring games if they have to because they play good D. If you want to run and gun, lets go. Only 3 things do I fear going into this playoff season.
1. injuries
2. consecutive bad shooting nights
3. a flurry of high turnover games.

They've also been thru the fukking gauntlet. Its no situation they havent seen and thats all to their benefit. While a lot of other clubs dont have that experience.

That's pretty much it. The big defensive ball clubs dont score as much and miami's defense is on par if not better than theirs when they lock down. The knicks on paper do match up well with the heat, but they wont beat them because you cant rely on Jr smith as your 2nd best player and count on that to beat a prime defending champ. A couple bad things go against the knicks and I can see them falling apart.

OKC problem is a 3rd scorer. russ and KD going to get points, but if miami holds serge and kmart down, they wont beat miami. And Ibaka seems to never score on Miami. If that remains the same, Heat beat them again.

None of the current teams has the tools, even if they were all healthy. It will have to be Lebron shytting the bed like the 2011 finals.

Scary note about the Heat: We still haven't seen them at their best because Bosh has been ... off quite a bit this season. If he's fully back on track, then ..

:dead: at jr smith being your second option

That is the exact reason the knicks wont beat miami. its almost unfair really..

Bron>>>>> melo/the rest of the league
Wade>>>>>>>>>>J.r smith
Bosh>>>>>>> chandler

And like you said if they match up with okc then they win since okc is a jump shooting team which leads to fast breaks, which leads to lebron sport center dunks... :damn:
