I can't believe they would do this, this generation is so soft. I'm never watching another baseball game again this commissioner is the worst in history.

This is all cute and funny for now ... until somebody loses a playoff series like this.

lol, so you looked it up and seen that most perfect games are over and done with in that time frame
They are working out the kinks right now. Rather it happen now than in August. I also think this is like the new rules in the NFL where they are always called way stricter in the preseason than the actual season.
I went back and looked at the average amount of pitch clock violations in the minors and in the first week, the averaged about 1.5 violations a game and 3 weeks later they were down to .6, it's going to be an adjustment but I dont think it will take that long. I do agree that it would be nice to not have any of these rules in the playoffs because you just want those games decided by the best teams at their best. But I'd be very surprised if by May/June this idea isnt more widely appreciated

I never understood this about baseball, why am they paying to go to a game to not see how it ends? Why am I going to a stadium and paying $7 for a hotdog for a game to be background noise? This is the only sport that the culture is ok with going to a game to do everything but watch it
One of the many many reasons people don’t watch baseball is because there is too much time when nothing is happening, the game is too long. The pace is too slow
If baseball is struggling with attendance and viewership then maybe the purists are in the minority with how things are done.
