On the real though they basically look Hispanic a lot of the time. If they actually looked like pocahontas they'd prolly be up there above Asians but below blacks and arabs for me.

If you're ever in NC, check out the Lumbee in Lumberton... beautiful people. there's even a spinoff, hybrid Lumbee that's a mix of black, white and Native. It's a whole new race created in Lumberton.

and whats the big difference between those girls and these random girls at an indian pow wow? native americans are mestizos too but their euro input comes mainly from anglo/NW european and they're also english speaking and white-americans have always been fascinated by them(just look at hollwyood) and i've met so many whites that brag about their native american ancestry.....mexicans/central americans euro input comes from spain and most white-americans look down on them and with the large population/spanish speaking cultural element, they feel hispanics(specifically mexicans) is destroying america's anglo-saxon cultural identity.

White people who actually live around US Natives tend to look down on them. But like you said, there are so few US Natives left that the situation is different, and Mexicans/Central Americans generally identify with being Latino rather than native.

i agree with you to a certain extent because natives are generally poor and they got this repuatation of being drunks but i still meet a lot of whites that would often brag about their native ancestry...

Actually having native ancestry is pretty uncommon, so there's somewhat of an exclusiveness to it. Also, the area you live in probably does not have many natives, so it's likely that some cac can just make up a story about being part native.

I grew up wit Natives & have many that are so close we call each other family so ive seen them come in all shapes & sizes... on the South Side we even got an area dubbed the "Native Projects" & multiple Native Culture centers.... i know Natives that can bounce back & forth from the Rez & get them checks.... my last chick was an Ojibwe Native (wit a splash of white) from ND....

I didnt know about them stats or Native droughts but I cant fathom a day when im out & about & don't see a Native....
