Nah, that's weird as fukk....but I usually beat every game 2 times, so I might make a female person.

Definitely the female alter-ego thing, female designs are somewhat better (hair, armor, weapons, etc) Apparently the female model for a lot of games handle certain textures better. Replayability, games like Diablo 3 have the other gender say different things during conversation. And lastly, voice work; Femshep - Mass Effect series.

the only valid excuse i've heard as to why dudes create female characters is that they don't see it as an extension of themselves, that this is just a character in a narrative they have created. any other reason is suspect as hell, and is usually insecure dudes working out their own sex issues
