keep in mind i'm only talking about games where they give you the option to create a male or female character, and dudes choose to create a female character.

fighting games are different. players choose characters based on their movesets and how viable they are. its all about winning so I don't think there's anything suspect about playing a female character in that. nothing wrong with playing a game with a female lead either (like tomb raider)

If we look at it with your megascope, guys pick/create male toons to satiate some need to have 20+ inch biceps and curb the ego. Every time I create a female protagonist in a game I make her evil as shyt or renegade.

Case in point, my mas effect renegade playthrough was a female, that was the first time I slapped that reporter ....

Usually go back and forth but I've found if I somehow play free trials in MMO's, if I play a Rogue/Wizard, it's usually female, and every other class is male.

shyt like Mass Effect, Skyrim, Dragon Age, I usually keep a male as my #1 main save, and a chick as my number 2 alternate story choices and playstyle/class.
