One of the worse laws ever.

Look at how disproportionate the death penalty is given out.

If you have some money your lawyer will get you out of the death penalty

The poor minorities are the ones that always end up with the death penalty

The reason for the law is to deter future criminals from committing that same crime.

Its an utter failure

It cost more to give somebody the death penalty than life in jail.

For the simple fact that there is a chance that you could be killing an innocent person.... Makes it hard to believe this shyt is moral

Wrong the point of the death penalty is to eliminate people not fit to live among humans.
If you kill another human being you are not fit to be among us

That is not what the death penalty is for.
you can believe what you like....

the death penalty was not created to serve as a deterrent..That's an added benefit...

Even animals are put down when they kill a human.

The point of it is to remove sick people from our midst...

I'm for it but only in extreme cases like war lords or very "powerful/influential ppl" because even behind bars they can still have control in the outside world and even within the prison. Still able to give orders to ppl and have ppl killed or drugs sold. Whatever evil they did they can continue to do.

I was against the death penalty until one of my friend's parents was murdered. I saw how it affected him and his family. I could not help but feel like the people responsible deserved to die for the literal and emotional pain that they inflicted.

Yet when the case went to trial, I kept thinking, 'do they have the right person?' What if the police screwed up and the killer got away scot free?

Ultimately if there is some clear video evidence of murder or rape, like the guys in London who used a machete in broad daylight and stood around waiting for the police to come, then I support the death penalty. Otherwise I don't trust the judicial system enough.

If found guilty by a jury of peers I have no issue.

The point is you are more likely to be murdered by a black man than a white man in America.
Most of the blacks on death row go there by killing other blacks.

Can you source the two above? Not saying you're lying but I'd like to read something concrete. I can't seem to find any legit sources for this. Thanks.

The actual cost incurred by the State is due to incarcerating prisoners on Death Row, rather than in maximum security prisons for life without possibility of parole, due to legal fees for appeals and heightened security measures.

It also costs the prosecution more money to try a defendant for Death rather than Life.

The actual execution cost is minimal, AFAIK, in-comparison.

If the legal system were more FOOL proof i'd be more of a supporter.

There are really only 2 ways I see it being "justified"
1. SERIAL or Sadistic murder. Reason being is that you're mentally fuked. This isn't just you getting into it with someone and shyt going down bad. I'm talking about torture type shyt. To me these people pose a threat to society and there is simply no need for them. Particularly in CLEAR CUT cases where like a victim survives.

2. When kids are involved. Be it murder or rape or whatever. IMHO once you've crossed that line and are able to hurt a child then you're just fuked in the head. Think about it, what type of man can look at an 1-10 year old child and be like, "YEahhhhhh!" A sick one that's what type. Simply put there is no place for people like that.

In neither case do i support it as a deterrent, more as a way of removing cancerous members of society.
