I think the conversations in general surrounding relationships between black men and women are excessive. I'm under the impression it's more of an online thing though. Offline people are gonna do what they do, date, live together, get married, etc.. There will be casualties along the way with single mothers, MIA dads, etc.. At this point though I feel like the conversations on social media exasberate the problems.
