This is a case where nikkas letting stats influence their decisions
Oh so whoever scores the most points is the better player?Curry scores more PPG than Zeke on almost 10% higher TS.
That's like the difference between Prime Lebron and Rudy Gay / Paul George. Or like Kevin Durant against like...Allen Iverson.
Entirely different planet.

that's always the right answer+Oh so whoever scores the most points is the better player?
Do your history on zeek before the bad boys. When he played uptempo style and was dropping 25-30 with 10-15 assists on a regular basis. Without jacking up 10 threes and getting 38 screens to get a shot off.
And u said defenses wasnt better back then
You can't even touch nobody now
can't tell if thread is serious....![]()
I didn't say zeke avg 25-30 I said dropping it on a regular basis. Which is what a player had to do to avg 23 a game and zeke was still avg double digit assist. I don't give a shyt what t Mac got to say. No hand checking and not being able to body the offensive player is a huge difference in today's game. I got more respect for the player that can get loose off his handle routinely or his quickness over somebody that is running over 3 screens to get a shot off.Not necessarily, but it stands to reason that Curry is a better scorer than Zeke since he scores as much but on drastically higher efficiency while being responsibile for creating the large majority of his shots off the dribble. Curry is the best off ball player to ever play the position so him getting screens isn't a knock. More a testament to his ability to bury teams from deep if given the slightest of space, his tremendous footwork and court awareness. He's also the best off the dribble three point shooter to ever play this game and can cook virtually anyone 1on1 so his creation abilities shouldn't be doubted. Reggie Miller was outstanding in the 90's. Give him some great handles, better court vision, crafty finishing and how great is he? Thats Steph
Zeke before the bad boys never averaged 25-30 ppg, career high was 22.9 on the '83 Pistons who played at an even faster pace than this years Warriors
You can be physical with players off ball. Can't beat the fukk out of them with little repreccusion like back in the day but that's not even basketball. What has changed thats aided defenses is the legalization of zone defense. Its strategically easier for teams to gameplan against superstars. Guys like Shaq and T Mac have been vocal about how the rule has affected the game

And you can argue that Curry's ability to warp defenses off ball in addition to his playmaking in the P&R influences the play of his teammates as much as Isaiah's high assist totals. So Steph Vs IT shouldn't be seen as a crazy comparison either. Era bias is very strong in these type of discussions it seems
It is. In reality this is a very good comparison but accolades, narratives and era nostalgia are getting in the way of what should be a straight up skills evaluation. Chris Paul has performed at a high level in the postseason, cannot tell me that his play hasn't been good enough to lead a team to a title especially in 2008. Not his fault that his teams generally haven't been up to task. That version of Paul was clearly better than IT in '89 but he went home in the 2nd round while IT won the chip because his supporting cast was better.
Both are 6 foot 1 but Isiah looks a couple pounds smaller and Paul is Def slower but don't knock Chris Paul he's a good player minus the flopping.

The coli = group think central. This is actually a good question. These nikkas dikkriding cuz zeke won titles.I saw someone refer to zekes 80's stats like the pace of play back then wasn't high as hell and inflated everybody's stats. If you measure paul and thomas up only thing I can say zeke did better was take over games scoring wise and finish at the rim.Paul does everything else at the pg position better.
