Someone posted a video claiming Lebron don't have "killer instinct".

Then I saw that Cleveland just set the record for most consecutive closeout wins. They just won their 13th straight game with the chance to close out the other team.

Cavs Going for Record 13th Straight Closeout Win

And Lebron puts up just about the best elimination game numbers in history. These are the numbers I posted in another thread earlier this postseason.

And Lebron hasn't lost a Game 7 in almost a decade, since back in 2008 when he scored 45 in Game 7 against Boston's Big 3 but it wasn't enough.

So he is dominant when he has his throat on their necks, he is dominant when his team is facing going home, and he's dominant when it's Game 7 and everything is on the line for both teams.

But he doesn't have the killer instinct rep with some people because....?

I thought about the guys who do have killer instinct rep with them, and I realized it comes done to one thing.

Taking shots.

You take a lot of shots, especially forced shots, and you have a "killer instinct". If you search for quality shots and pass to the open guy more when you don't have one, then you don't have a "killer instinct".

Is that pretty much it, or is there something else I'm missing?

LeBron been had a killer instinct most of the narratives fakkits run with on here got stomped out years ago. The truth is, some people are truly so stupid that they can never be reasoned with, and if they have an opinion they're keeping it regardless of how shyt it is. :yeshrug:

LeBron has a killer instinct . .

He just doesn't have killer skills in the 4th like kyrie :troll:

Jordan kobe both were the man with the ball in their hands at the end of games . .

Kyrie is that man at Cleveland..:yeshrug:

But you're right .. CLEVELAND does have the best close out record .

But LeBron still bytches up in the last couple mins of 4th ..:mjlol:

That's an ESPN talking point that smart dumb nikkas decided to run with to sound smarter than they are.

Lebron dunks on Draymond in game 7 last year and all that bullshyt is over. Not because it ever held weight but because the media would have ran with it, thus the sheep would have ran with it too.

LeBron May Be The Most Clutch Playoff Shooter Of His Generation

paine-lebron-0511.png

Relative to the league-wide average, James generated 4.8 more total points than expected on his go-ahead shots, which translates to about one entire playoff win beyond what an average shooter would have contributed from the same field-goal distances. And those numbers become magnified when you consider that James’s average go-ahead shot came in a playoff game with championship implications 34 percent greater than the typical postseason contest. After we weight by the leverage of his specific game-winning shot attempts, James generated the equivalent3 of 8.5 more points than expected, or roughly two playoff wins above average, with his clutch end-of-game shooting alone.

(By contrast, Bryant generated 3.2 fewer points than expected and did it in games that were about 64 percent more important than the average playoff game, compounding the damage of his 1-for-10 performance.)

take note of shot attempts and field goal% along with the all around game

Killer Instinct...

Imo...means that the more important the games/moments become, the better you play.

Is it a 100% or nothing type deal? No.

Bron has moments on both sides.

He has Game 6 vs Boston in 2012...Game 1 vs Indiana that same year.
Going on that crazy run to put the Pistons away...When he hit that shot vs Orlando. And of course the block + clutch free throws in Game 7 last year.

But he has his :francis: moments too.

Quitting vs Boston in 2010. :francis:

Scoring 8 points in the Finals in 2011:francis:

Being passive in the 2014 Finals :francis:

So does Bron have killer instinct? He DOES...sometimes. Other times he looks passive and disengaged and tired in the biggest most important moments. That's the knock against him.
