Here's the thing with Rubio, you're not going to see just how detrimental he is to your team until you make it to the playoffs and teams get to gameplan for defending him. Right now, he's still riding the wave of "He makes us better" which is true because all his backsups have been ass, but you can't look at him in a vacuum like that, league wide he is not even a top 20 PG and there are loads of guys that would make the Wolves better.

If the Wolves make it to the playoffs and they have Rubio, he will be the weak link that everyone can obviously point to as being a major factor in losing.
I'll have to see it to believe it breh

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
:whoa: Yea, I dont want Bazz or Wiggings talking threes like that. But thats why I loved the Jones pick. He can give us that off the bench. I trust Rickys decision making and play making down the stretch.

You don't want them to, but they will have to just because the ball is going to be in Rubio's hands so much. Jones doesn't have to do much to win the starting job, the bar is set LOW.

My thing is Rubio isnt the reason we had the record we had breh. He played 22 games last year. Injuries killed us the past 3 years. With all of our players healthy, Im willing to bet we were at or above .500. Ricky is getting a lot of hate but its not all his fault. Some of it is but not all. You dont plus Bledso on these injury riddled teams and we are competeing for a play off spot. Im not buying it.

Bledsoe is a better player than Rubio, just as good of a defender and a much better offensive player. Rubio is by far the worst offensive PG I have ever seen, to me he is simply not a starting level PG, not for a team that eventually wants to be a contender and his skillset isn't even a mesh with the young guys you have. I get that he has helped you win, but there are so many other PGs that could have done the same, there's nothing he gives you that cannot be replaced by other NBA starting PGs.

All throughout the playoffs teams who put non-shooters on the floor got their asses handed to them.
You think bledso is a better playmaker/decision maker than Pretty Ricky? I just dont see it. That includes a lot of those other guys you named. This year Ricky will either make or break himself with me so Ill be watching closely. :leostare:

The problem with Rubio is that his playmaking is overstated, and realistically having multiple playmakers on a team is better than having 1 guy that does it. I'd rather have Bledsoe, I can play him on or off the ball and know that when he doesn't have the ball in his hands teams still need to account for him.

When Rubio gives up the ball the Wolves are effectively playing 4 on 5, and when he has the ball you don't have to respect his own offense. For as great of a playmaker as he is, Bledsoe only averages 2 less APG, while scoring 7 more ppg and shooting damn near 10% higher from the field. In the playoffs teams will basically play so far off him that he'll be forced to shoot, they will gameplan his ass right off the floor.

He'll be back in Spain at the end of this contract, coming off the bench for Jones isn't going to sit well with him.

If they make the playoffs by then, great.

You're presenting a scenario that requires the team to be in the playoffs. That's all I ask. Stop analyzing this team the way you would a normal one. They haven't earned that break yet.

that means the drought will be AT LEAST 13 seasons by then, and if Ricky's not starting either Tyus Jones became an all-star (won't happen), the team doesn't drop off at all from Ricky to Tyus (which means Tyus wouldn't start) or the drought's gonna continue. Option 3 looks like the safest bet
