Calling someone spoiled can be a loaded comment. In your situation, it appears to be that way, like you resent how easy things were for her.

You could have just said she was fortunate and got on with your day.

facts

its all wording

nobody wants to be told to their face they don’t deserve what they have

the connotation behind spoiled in the modern day is entirely negative

its the difference in saying you've had blessings coming up versus you've had life done for you

true or not its not something most people can stomach

she's privileged and maybe sheltered. not spoiled. this is why using words correctly matters.

calling her spoiled is like me calling you spoiled for having access to 24/7 electricity, clean water, and a job.

you just happened to be born into a rich country that provides you all of those things to take advantage of.

spoiled means you receive things in excess of what is required. spoiled is her never having to work, period. spoiled is her having a surrogate carry her child.
