Squaring ya feet to the basket is wrong shooting mechanic.

Plenty of YouTube channels dispelling shooting myths that NBA players don't even do themselves.

The best shooters turn their feet, and shooting shoulder/arm to the basket. They also jump forward in their shot, not up and down (called sweep and sway), and they don't palm the ball with their entire hand when shooting either. Best shooters in the NBA also dip the ball, as in bring it down to create momentum.

The YouTube channel Pro Shot Shooting System was the first channel to expose basketball shooting myths.

A lot of their videos have been taken down for copyright issues. Lots of channels stealing their content without giving them credit.
