I don't agree. There WAS a growing collective unity amongst the diaspora from the 20's until the 70s when it began to dissipate. This kind of unity scared folks.

This is by design. The world doesn't want this type of global Black unity again. Something happened which ended these movements.

Black Americans were instrumental in putting pressure on the US government to no longer back the South African apartheid regime. There are tons of examples of this global unity. I'm not sure what happened but separating and going to our respective corners isn't benefiting us in the long run.

Spain, France and Britain built their countries separately and warred against each other before coming to the table at the Berlin Conference and the UN.

pretty sure it started with immigrants looking down on black Americans...

the negative stereotypes of blacks in America is definitely perpetuated in immigrant communities

that was the spark..

then angry nikkas online just fueled the back and forth from both sides
Negative stereotypes? I feel like that shyt goes both ways

Let’s not forget negative stereotypes of African booty scratchers, or spare chucker..musty smelling or street sweeper

Black Americans weren’t necessarily too kind to their African counterparts either

Lmao, "African booty scratcher" :mjlol:

I was called an African booty scratcher and I'm not even African, imagine how I felt.

Ain't no grown person calling you an African booty scratcher, but if that's the hill you wanna die on, go ahead. Africans/foreign Blacks have slurs for Black Americans, but nobody talks about that. Black Americans have been "culture less", "lost", "no identity", and "your ancestors were slaves" for years and people still tell us this till this day and we're grown adults.

Why can't we just acknowledge that we're DIFFERENT?

Ultimately, infighting between Black peoples is a distraction and a waste of everybody's time..:russell:

Majority of US cacs view and treat Black American's like Black immigrants anyway.
It's nothing sweet.

The inane bickering online doesn't occur in the real world either.

I went from a life long Pan Africanist to a hardcore nationalist over the course of a 3 month period after being subjected to that nonsense.

I couldn’t believe the hate these people could have for us and felt like an idiot.

shyt, most of them called us idiots straight up for thinking we was anything more than a Black American slave.
My guy, you'd be surprised at how many african women truly hate us. These women actually hate thr fact that black men are even able fo play in the NFL. Just seen a video from this african woman saying that sports is the only area where "mysoginistic black men can't be canceled". These birds really just worship white men. Also, peep this video :

Most black Americans used “African booty scratcher” as elementary school insults against other ados kids… there was no actual real life stereotype connected to it. “Spear chucker” is a slur white people used against ADOS blacks.

Growing up.. there was no actual African stereotypes in the black community. The country we are in consistently reminded us of the stereotypes they had against us. Nobody was actually sitting around trying to imagine the negatives of Africans. Maybe because there was a famine in Somalia people thought “Africans” were poor, but that’s about it. Only as an adult and coming across many Africans through life did I even develop a mental image of the different people of Africa.

There was like one or two Africans in my elementary school, and they just looked black so there wasn’t really any different treatment. I wish I could go back and actually care about them being African and ask about their country/culture.

shyt, now that I think of it… I’ve never even heard my parents/grandparents/cousins/aunts/uncles even have a single conversation where the topic of African people was anything other than us being stripped us our roots and needing to regain some of the heritage that we lost. I haven’t heard a single negative African stereotype from ANY of my family members. I think the first time I heard bad shyt about Africans is when the internet started poppin in the late 90’s and Nigerian scammers became a thing.

Go ahead and tell me you never heard a single family member say anything negative about black Americans. Bet that shyt was a common topic growing up huh. That’s why you think we MUST have grown up on the same type of time.

You fell for propoganda
notice the majority of you claim to have had very little interactions with africans

yet ONE DAY all of a sudden you have so many of you having bad experiences

EVERY experience that poster herbiehancock refers to is "these nigerians were on clubhouse and they said......."

"i didnt pay africans any mind and tariq showed clips"
"yeah they call us akata"
"go back home"
"yall sold us"

the EXACT same tropes
the exact same script

every one of you saying the exact same thing

no group of people just wake up one morning realising they hate africans more than wite people
you might just have a mind ripe for brainwashing and propoganda

The End
And funny enough, there’s no hate crime statistics that exist from the FBI CIA or any other entity that co-signs black on African xenophobia. Most of you just got roasted (like we all did) and took it as a personal attack, and used that to justify already existing xenophobia.

Our parents warn us about whites and the system, your parents warn y’all about us

furthermore, black Americans are world famous and have been for over 150 years now. Most of us can’t even name the 10 African countries growing up so it’s impossible for us to dislike you all based on your country.

Yalll know us, we don’t know y’all.

You the perfect example...

You claim to live in brooklyn

all your opinions are of a person who never been outside
your perceptions on the labor day parade told me everything I needed to know
describing its paritcipants as savages

if you were outside and had friends
you would know 90% of the people at the parade and juve have nothing to do with bullshyt
they having fun and enjoying themself

you type like a nerd p*ssy
your outlook is that of someone who knows everything from youtube and online brainwashing

But that's what Black Americans were saying about the original man before Africans knew there were even Black people in America..

Understood. But at the current time, they're looking at it from a resources POV. They believe our worse conditions here in america is better than some of their best conditions.. Especially the Caribbean brothers..

@Premeditated response that black people haven’t stayed on cacs necks throughout history

The blk people who are "conservative", trump supporters, and maga today
they would have supported the system of slavery
fought for the confederates
against mlk
if they were around at that time in history

do you agree?
