What exactly is Bernie's path to winning the nomination?

It’s not about winning over #ImWithHer voters. I’m talking about the voters who thought she was Bernie but could work within the Democratic Party better.

Also, he needed to have old people scared that Biden was going to cut social security and medicare.

I don’t think that was a big segment of her voters, and those who were, I’m pretty sure they’re now voting Bernie

I just don't understand how a black person in the south facing absolute racism and discrimination everyday, battered and bruised by a racist system who doesn't provide them an ounce of help, vote for someone because they go to church. This is mind boggling to me.

I've met so many Warren voters who like her because of her technocratic, wonky image, or because she's a woman, etc. I've encountered a lot of Warren supporters who view her as a moderate

Yeah i don't think they're the same class of progressive personally. I've told @mastermind time and time again which Warren stated herself both campaigns purpose was to occupy different lanes which they did. Furthermore i don't think it would have mattered the moderate wing is substantially much later from a voting block perspective which is why liz sat in the middle

i read there wont be a debate the next time they're on stage together. The DNC changed it to some town-hall like session so people can ask the candidates questions. I have no confidence whatsoever in biden holding his own against Bernie in an actual debate. we about to witness some unprecedented finessing by the establishment to keep a biden vs bernie debate from ever happening

Bernie's most clear path now, imo, is another poor debate performance from Biden. He's been able to kind of hide in the previous ones where he might not speak for 30 minutes at a time and then gets a minute to speak, but 2 hours where he might speak 10-15 minutes at a time on a single issue I think is going to be impossible for him to hide his mental decline. And if it comes off bad enough, I think a good chunk of voters might change their mind about voting for him.

Black Americans, especially in the south, have a history of seeing politicians pump fake on big promises, from how they were abandoned in the middle of reconstruction, to zero back up of their land and voting rights, to how long it took to get segregation ended and civil rights protections, is it unfathomable that some of them, at the least, simply don’t have faith in politicians promising big change? Maybe familiarity and common culture (the church piece) builds trust more than promises?
