Great question. Probably when my parents divorced when I was small.

Did that make you more focused on money or more grateful when you bounced back?

I was always pretty laid back as a youngin. My pops got mad that he had to cough up his w2 since he didnt pay support for years, barely came around. Court finally had enough and decided to lean on him .He had to nerve to drive to our house and try to give my earth smoke over it. Acted like he wasnt gonna leave unless he got money from her, he decided to get loud and start drawing so I finally snapped, moved her out the way and began beating him to the floor. I was a teen and was already bigger than him. I took it too far on him as an example and hurt him. He ran to the police station and pressed. Ended up doing 84 days in YC.


Learned to never trust family unless they are backed by merit. Blood aint enough.

Fukk focused..

I became a belligerent CAPITILIST


I was bitter as well cause I did everything by the book ...worked hard paid taxes....never committed crimes.... even attended college... . And took care of family and friends

But in the end i wound up getting hurt

So I switched my whole game plan up

It even influenced my musical tastes..

I was mostly into consiscious contemplative music I. e (native tongues... roots reggae)

And started banging throwback Jay Z and Jeezy on the regular while sleeping in my car at night

But it did motivate me and suppressed the pains of my grind

One line by Hov defined my life metaphorically back then :

"I'm quite real
If my situation
Ain't improving
I'm trying to murder everything
moving"

Seeing my immigrant father working 2-3 jobs to take care of us. This motivates to take my education seriously and be successful. Seeing a breh that I use to take tae kwon doe class at 18-20 be completely homeless on my college campus begging for money, I gave him everything I had in my pocket at the time.

my innocence died with her and i learned the
