No they didn't.

No it isn't, just read the posts on this forum. A lot of people here talk about how they either don't like white people or they don't want to be in a place full of white people like a predominately white university. They say the cultures just don't mix. Whenever a black person grows up around nothing but blacks and then goes to a white university, it's a "culture shock." They feel alone because they don't know how to interact with white people or they feel weird about it.

It goes both ways. Both blacks and whites may feel awkward to interact with each other because of a difference in culture. Same thing with whites vs indians or asians. People may be afraid to talk to each other because of a difference in culture. However it is only the black who will whine and cry about how he's being "oppressed" because people dismissed his comments in class.

What do you have to say about foreign students? Foreign students who smell like curry and talk with a huge accent SURELY turn off other white students. I'm quite sure some white students will just walk right past them without acknowledging their existence. And yet you don't see any indians whining and crying about how they're being "isolated" from the other white students. It is only blacks that like to make a commotion about everything.

Look at those videos of the "I too am harvard" testimonials and you won't find not one testimony of someone saying they tried making friends with multiple people but got shot down every time. I don't think a single person said they tried making friends with even ONE person.

hmm i have to disagree with you here, there is a whole lot of racism in most campuses and that impacts relations a whole lot and as somebody said there are other reasons beyond race that somebody can easily become isolated on any campus, colleges are not any more open and friendly than a high school cafeteria, there is mad politics, i would disagree that black students need to open up more and be friendly, fukk all that

i agree that the i am harvard thing is corny as hell but i think also that harvard is most likely a racist ass school and very elitist and the black students probably do feel isolated, so i wouldnt put it on the black student, i would just tell them to not make any more videos and we need to to put the plan in effect to increase the numbers of black students, which is the only real solution

No they didn't.
I'm not about to do this with you.
Read the article, hell one of the students in the article
you mentioned HAD A WHITE BOYFRIEND !
CLEARLY she'd have to have had a conversation or two with a white person
for this to happen.

Read the article and stop making an ass of yourself.

The coli isn't representative of 40 million people.
And even then, I don't think they'd sacrifice their education because
they don't want to be around certain people.
I say this without bringing up the FACT we have several college graduates on this board
and several other posters currently IN college.
They say the cultures just don't mix. Whenever a black person grows up around nothing but blacks and then goes to a white university, it's a "culture shock." They feel alone because they don't know how to interact with white people or they feel weird about it.
Who is "they" ?

However it is only the black who will whine and cry about how he's being "oppressed" because people dismissed his comments in class.
Again, you go ahead and dismiss the black voice because you've already
decided that discrimination against black students of any kind is "imagined"
or "made up" or somehow fake and/or blown out of proportion.
You can say that isn't what you meant, but come on, it's obvious what you mean.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't.

There you go again.
Blacks shouldn't cry foul, because it's all made up and "in their heads".
Look at those videos of the "I too am harvard" testimonials and you won't find not one testimony of someone saying they tried making friends with multiple people but got shot down every time. I don't think a single person said they tried making friends with even ONE person.

I guess being told your behavior isn't "Black" and you're only in college because
you've got black skin is actually not racist at all, and is actually some sort of bonding ritual
that white youth engage in, but it only happens with their black friends. :eyeroll:

I get the feeling you're the sort of dude who revels in backhanded compliments like this

He seems to be jumping around quite a bit, he seems lost.

However, it's not such a bad thing he turned down Harvard, black people get treated like shyt there. Everywhere you go on campus those white students are staring at you and talking about you "He's only here because of affirmative action" blah blah blah. I don't blame him for passing up that demon hole.
see this is the mentality i cant stand about people . because everyone has been sheep herded into certain fields. doesnt mean everyone is wired like that. especially a really young kid.

if you're really smart at one thing. thats great. its a bit simpler for you to go some where to get educated in that field and get a job or open a business in that field

but if you have other talents and desires. MULTI-TALENTED, MULTI-DESIRES, multiple ambitions and a spiritual push to do something outside of just going to school to make a ton of money when you get out. then yes it will SEEM as if you're all over the place. when in reality you are right where YOU need to be. a jack of all trades, and a master of all. or even if you're not a master at any of them. you're a master of being a jack of all trades. thats something most people cant do. most people are only good at a couple of things if not just one. so its all gifts at the end of the day. dont hate on the kid for using ALL of his gifts.

You're right that is what I mean. The reason why I say that is because I can no longer take black people seriously. Wherever you go, blacks are finding an excuse to cry racism.

Look at this whole clippers fiasco. Yes the guy is an absolute racist but a lot of black people WANT to hear him talk all that shyt. Why do they want to hear him say that? Because it CONFIRMS in their mind what they already believe to be true. That they are victims of the system and everything is stacked against them so they have no chance to succeed in life. They can use this as "proof" to the world of their so-called oppression.

You cannot take black people seriously because blacks will ONLY band together whenever there's a case of racism. They will claim to stand behind all these so-called values like equality, and justice, but they really only want equality and justice in the context of the white man vs the black man. How come we don't have all this commotion over all the black people DYING every day at the hands of their own black neighbors? These are people's LIVES at stake and yet black people couldn't care less about them.

Why don't we have all this commotion over the CORRUPTION and FRAUD at HBCUs? That's doing more harm to black people than racism but people do not care because blacks only care about the wellbeing of blacks in the context of blacks vs whites.

Look at OJ Simpson. Proof positive that blacks couldn't care less about justice, they just see it as a war of blacks vs whites.
Look at Mamia Abu Jamal. You had blacks protesting about how he shouldn't be on death row for killing a white cop even though all the evidence says he did it. His own BROTHER will not testify in his defense because he knows he'd be lying if he got on the witness stand and said mamia didn't do it.

I do believe there are some very racist people at Harvard. But I believe this whole deal is blown out of proportion because blacks ACTIVELY look for this type of racism. When they find it they hold it up in the air and say "look, I found it!" and try to say that these little anecdotes represent the big picture when they do not.

Again, you cannot take black people seriously.

Sounds like you're lost yourself. If you're bouncing from thing to thing before you complete any one of them, then you're not making any progress. How about you stop making excuses and see one thing through before you start another? Or do you not have the focus and consistency required to finish something you started?

Notice that out of all the testimonies you find on the internet of blacks claiming to be isolated or whatever at harvard/yale, they are always talking about what they THINK are going through people's heads. You don't hear about them actually going up to these white students and trying to get to know them, which in turn would allow the whites to get to know the blacks as well. You see the blacks talk very passionately about how no one likes them or this other yadda. When in all actuality the reason why no one likes the majority of these black students is because they isolate themselves. I'm very confident of this because I go to a school with a vast majority of white students and I never feel isolated. (and no I have not espoused any of my political beliefs either. We just have normal conversation)

I'm talking about people looking at you like "wtf is he/she doing here?". I'm also talking about overhearing them saying racist/rude shyt about you. I'm talking about them clutching their belongings or moving their purses to their other arm when you walk by them. I'm talking about being watched like a hawk during exams because they're convinced you're going to cheat, I went through that myself at just a state university, so no surprise a black person would get that at Harvard. My own cousin went through this shyt at Harvard, and she's always had lot's of friends of all races, she's no outcast. You're coming up with any excuse you can because it seems you don't want to come to terms with the fact a lot of those ivy league white people are racist and think they're better than blacks. You may not want to face reality, but that's the case.

Yeah I don't doubt people are judging them based on the color of their skin. I think blacks should actually use that as a reason why we shouldn't have AA anymore. As long as we have AA it will persist. No ifs and buts about it

Affirmative action was made for, and has benefited white women the most by far. Don't let this white biased conditioning make you think it's some sort of crutch for unqualified blacks like white people like to make it sound like.

Damn man, sorry to say but you sound like an uncle tom.:what:

Yea the racial factor is one element, class is another but its a lil deeper than that. There are direct pipelines from specific private/prep/top public schools to these Ivies...I wouldn't be suprised if they comprised close to the majority of the student population, it's at least a significant portion....most of these kids know each other or the rep that their previous school carries...if ur bro didn't come up thru that pipeline then he is a natural outsider from the jump

There are over 28,000 students at Harvard, from all across the globe, everyone isn't going to know each other anyways.
