His character is awful, theme song is awful, and his ring work is boring IMO.

He's perfect for their demographic. Lunatic fringe is something only people as dumb as kids would like.

They amped up his OMG he so crazy too far IMO his paramilitary attitude with hints of insanity when in the Shield and out for revenge after the Shield breakup were him at his best. I'd think most would agree since he isn't as over as he was during that time.

His theme song isn't great but it is distinct among everyone else currently. Then again most theme songs these days aren't that great.

Disagree on his ring work, I think he's very engaging and other than his punches (which he's improved on) he's had good matches on his own.

He drew the short straw in the Shield breakup. Vince wants his Samoan Cena and no one is stopping that.

This.
Ambrose was the most over after the split.
Vincent wasn't having that shyt and handled the problem accordingly.
:russ:
Didn't help that they had him over doing the twitchy, crazy thing, either.

I agree, he was the right amount of crazy in the shield. Now its overboard.

Yep. When RomeGawd was out injured, Dean was headlining the B-tours wasn't he? After Roman came back they had to dumb everyone down (Ziggler put the Authority outta business at Surv Series and they did nothing with it) to make Roman look hotter in contrast

It's wild but I'm happy they're going along with the push in spite of the rebellion and there being better candidates on the roster.
Leave no doubts so if dude fails, Vince will have it out of his system.
Even in the Shield, Reigns was typically the one to score the pin and the last guy standing. Rarely ate a pin, either.
Cream eventually rises to the top and while Rome has the look of a main eventer, I don't think he has "it." Not even to the degree that Cena had "it."
Cena in defeat at Fastlane got a bigger reaction than Reigns in victory.
There's a huge difference in looking the part and effectively playing the part.
If Vince made the right call, it'll manifest itself in ticket sales and merchandise being moved.
The way they're pushing him, this will end in monumental success or disaster. No in between.
Meltzer hit the nail on the head with that article, but there's nothing to do but allow it to play out.

Hopefully they make his character more of a serious one. Currently, his gimmick is being a dumbass that costs himself matches. He is still getting cheers despite not having a PPV or significant win since the Shield break up though.
