I was watching a few Raw's from the 90's this past weekend and one of the things that stood out was Jerry Lawler's favoritism towards the heels. Listening to Lawler now compared to 15-20 years ago is like a totally different person. JBL occasionally does some heel work but for the most part he's cheering on the faces like Cole and Lawler.

Will we ever see real heel commentators again or is it a thing of the past?

Get your nostalgia bullshyt out of here :camby:

Like you even remember Ventura commentary:heh: how old are you?

You talking about nostalgia and Lawler hasn't been a heel commentator since he left with the company 15 years ago with the fukking Kat :martin: fukk outta here. I'm not taking shyt away from Lawler, this is one of my favorite memories of him

Outside of yelling about puppies, the ECW invasion and sonning the Hart family, Lawler doesn't compare to Heenan and Ventura. I remember Ventura in WCW more than WWF but Monsoon/Ventura and Monsoon/Heenan is better than Cokeboy/Lawler and J.R./Lawler. Just an opinion :yeshrug:

The closest modern day heel announcer we have is Corey Graves, who isn't bad at all in my opinion :yeshrug:
Corino is the best but idk if he's necessarily a heel announcer. Just seems to love adam cole
