MMG lost when they couldn't sign Dom Kennedy and Currensy when both were on fire. Worked out for Spitta, Dom not so much
How did it not work for dom? He kept doing his thing until he fell off. He and spitta both have the same career - bunch of indie mixtapes/albums that are consumed by a loyal fanbase. Neither is super famous and both seem to be eating well off the UG circuit

Not to hijack the thread but my point was that Dom fell off musically and otherwise after the Yellow Album, Spitta never did. Spitta definitely has had a better and more consistent career than Dom has. Dom's fans from back then are confused at what happened him while Spitta's fans have been consistently getting fed with great music, damn near monthly, since 2012 or some shyt lol.

Dom didn’t fall off until after by dom Kennedy and it was a case of his passion declining, not skill, as evidenced by his past two projects being him returning to form. Being signed to MMG wouldn’t have had any bearing on that especially since mmg was already a wrap as a crew/force during his fall off years

MMG woulda got him higher profile features. Outside of his west coast brethren, he doesn't get the same level of features and production his counterparts get. Even Stalley to this day can get a Migos feature
