Blame dudes like Trey Songz who on mixtapes had legit content but kept that wack oversexualized shyt on his mainstream projects. 
Hate if you wan't but TGT's album was dope and even Beiber did the damn thing.
I think all the male/female groups or boy bands ran it's course.......however one could drop today and be the only group in that lane currently
