That mogul trend came and went. When one gets something on and popping the rest will dive in with their own version. I'm surprised these new kids didn't leverage their fanbase and do the same thing but it all seems name brand free advertising till they get a sponsorship or co-sign.

The hip hop clothing wave was immense, back when. Pretty amazing watching it unfold as the it made the tills ring and spinners spin. That was the style, you see?

A lot of these younger rappers are not enterprise minded. They would trade total ownership for basically what amounts to a creative license deal or something similar. Not saying it's wrong or right just saying.
