jobs aint paying what they used to to make consumer products sell like that. those you mentioned would make black clothing for white folks and Malibu's Most Wanted ended a lot of that stuff for white people.

A lot of these younger rappers are not enterprise minded. They would trade total ownership for basically what amounts to a creative license deal or something similar. Not saying it's wrong or right just saying.

Seems like it's easier to just collaborate with an established clothing company and let them assume all the financial risk. For the last decade or so that's what rappers do.
