$2,300 for 2 bedroom 2 baths, good amenities but still not totally worth it.

chicago area could mean anything evanston,naperville, south suburbs, etc..Chicago area but not downtown, and that's just rent no utilities (electricity, gas, water, trash etc is separate) sooo yeah.
Finishing school = getting higher paying job and probably similar/better standard of living is the goal.
