The market is starting to turn, I'm a big window shopper and 3 things I noticed the last 2 weeks in my search results:

* About 1/10 properties have lowered asking costs
* Quite a few more properties showed up. IMO people trying to get while the getting is good
* LOTS of properties haven't sold, tons of properties I've seen sitting out there for many months or even a year. I've already talked about how properties get removed and relisted to hide how long they've been on the market (but sometimes property history still shows the truth if you don't remember it)

Get a part-time job and that will likely cover the rent.

People used to move south and take advantage of the lower cost of living. These days it’s getting expensive in the south too. Saw a 3 bedroom for like $1100 the other day.

:why:
There’s also a major food crisis coming, but brehs think constantly talking pawgs (while calling ppl Cacs) and having their loans paid off at the expense of others will help, when it will only speed up the chaos. The real answer is for us all to repent and turn away from our sins and seek out The Most High and trust in the sacrifice his son made that we may be forgiven of our sin and iniquity. Nothing else will help anyone (Serious).

That doesn't sound too bad.

Our rent went up by $400 from last year. :scust:

$2,300 for 2 bedroom 2 baths, good amenities but still not totally worth it.

Don't want to compromise/have less amenities though so here we are. :to:
the fukk? a 21% increase in a year?? americans don't don't have rent control?

Chicago area but not downtown, and that's just rent no utilities (electricity, gas, water, trash etc is separate) sooo yeah.

Finishing school = getting higher paying job and probably similar/better standard of living is the goal.
chicago area could mean anything evanston, naperville, south suburbs, etc..
