He's never beaten anyone in an election, and therefore never won an election in a major party
He's never influenced or sponsored any significant bills or laws
Every race related incident he latches on to results in the person he's marching or giving press conferences for takes an L.

To me the only major accomplishment Sharpton has is the weight loss. He uses racial tension as a way to make money. He doesn't even have a lot of white allies that would ride or die for this cause (if one even exists). And for some reason he gets to be one of the faces of black people in this country

Al Sharpton is far from perfect he's the closest thing to a civil rights leader we have. He has helped bring the light to a lot of issues and has helped expand discussion and protest on a lot of injustices.

A lot of the stuff we get angered by wouldn't have even been known nationally if it weren't for Sharpton and for that I him . The powers that be can't stand him. It's funny to see Tavis Smiley and Dr. West go against the man when in reality Sharpton may have done more than both combined.

They WANT you to dislike Sharpton. Does he suck at reading a teleprompter.....YES however I've seen him own conservatives like Hannity in debates before in the past. He brings attention to civil rights situations that NEVER would see the light of day. There is no real reason to disdain him. They just resort to name calling like calling him a "race peddler", "race baiter" "hustler" or buffoon but rarely bring up an actual situation.
