I might be wrong but my problem with Sharpton is that it seems like he only comes around when the cameras are around. I respect what he's done for the community however

Sharpton BRINGS the cameras around though... if not for Sharpton cases like Jena Six and Trayvon Martin probably never get the public recognition that they get. And that's a GOOD thing. Sharpton has brought national light to a lot of situations that would have only been locally heard.

This is how I look at it....its not that I have anything at all against Sharpton. But he is exactly that. A safe leader. If Malcom was around do u think the cameras would be on him 24/7? Hell no....theyd be doing their damndest to keep attention away from him out of fear of his message. Sharpton gets all the cameras on him because even if cacs dont like him (they dont like anyone thats not tap dancing anyway) they know his message will be peceful protest, get justice through the system that kind of thing. They don't fear what he has to say so why not put it out there as much as possible? In the end does he really make a difference tho? The cases arguably get more media attention but the outcome is usually the same...
