What has happened to Rockstar?

Yall act like rockstar doesnt always take years to make a new game.

Because they don't.

Gta iv came out in 2008. Gta V came out in 2013.

In between 2008 and 2013 they released the lost and the dammed, Chinatown wars,the ballad of gay tony,midnight club Los Angeles, max Payne 3,beaters tor and red dead redemption and RDR undead nightmare.

Between gta 3 and iv they released 2 other GTA's, bully,manhunt 1 and 2,smugglers run,multiple midnight club ga,the warriors,state of emergency etc.

Between 2013 and now they haven't announced a new game,yet alone released one.

This is unprecedented in the company history since gta 3.

Because from announcement to release is still a waiting period. So the fact they haven't even announced a game yet means we won't get it,or any other game for a long time.

Gta V came out 2 years after it was announced.

I mean... GTAV made like a Billi in 3 or 4 days... before the online component released.


And this was before the PC and current gen titles released. So they basically just caking off of releasing the same game 3 times and the online revenue. Can't even be mad at them, as the only Rockstar games that I've generally played are GTA ones anyway

I'm one of the few that doesn't care to play online, so I never bothered with GTA Online.

Really disappointed they never offered any side stories DLC like they've done in the past with GTA games.

They've only actually done that for 1 gta game and that was IV, but after Undead Nightmare I was expecting something even though they have said they were only focusing on online. Hopefully we'll see something soon tho.

They're only into making massive GTA games. And their latest is still selling well so it gives them more time on their next one. It will be the biggest GTA ever. Expanding multiple cities.

They're coasting off releasing GTA V on PC and PS4/X1.

I'm sure they're actively working on something and just not announcing it. They don't usually announce games until they're really good and far along.

Guys want Red Dead 2.. why? With the way the game ended theres no need for a part 2.

They were pumping out games because they had their multiple studios working on different shyt.. the fact that no game has dropped since 13 (it was 5 years between IV and V which means 6 may drop in 18) should let you know that they may be working on something huge

But they aren't funding new games and that's the problem.

How is at their most successful they're releasing no games.

They should be at least 2 games deep into this gen.

Gta iv was doing the same shyt and hyped the same way. Years later people don't look back fondly on the game and got more honest about its shortcomings.
