Suspect is innocent until proven guilty no matter what race. There are plenty of innocent people in prison and people in prison for life just because their stupid ass friend decided to kill someone in their presence. And sometimes when you live in rough environments, you have to shoot or get shot. It's self defense but a lot of times they rather get that murder 1 because all prosecutors care about his convictions, not justice.
What's with you and all these excuses for ratchetry?

Man, I was watching Frontline (this episode The Confessions | FRONTLINE | PBS ) a while back where 4 dudes (again FOUR!) all confess to a crime they didn't commit. One thing I remember them mentioning was that the way interrogations are setup, they're setup to break you down. Cops will take shifts in interrogating your ass around the clock during that 48 hour hold and not let you get an ounce of sleep the whole time. They'll make up every lie possible to trip you up

I think they mentioned a study where, under those circumstance, most people confess to crimes even if they didn't do it. :ohhh:

"Bbbbbbbbbut he shot at me first, where yall takin me?" :wtf:

I always wondered why sometimes some of them informants or witnesses don't have their faces blurred on that show.

I know somebody caught that episode where ole boi pointed out the murder suspect that was on a gang picture hanging up in the detective's office. That nikka probably buried somewhere by now.

Lots of dudes got killed after the episode airs. Hell there was a big topic on people participating on The First 48 and witnesses/ confessors getting bodied.

I been arrested a bunch of times..... back in the day I wouldnt even confirm my name....lol

A statement will never ever help your case.....even if you are innocent wait to see your lawyer.... I never answered a question without a lawyer present

Ive said this before but Ill say it again, if you are involved in "that life" make sure you have a lawyer on retainer.... a public defender will get you sent to jail

I had a lawyer on retainer, always had bail money set aside and totally clean people for bail/surety.... you always have to look at crime not in terms of "i wont get caught" but "if I get caught Ill be prepared"

police are just fukking grimey they aint interested in whether youre innocent or guilty just in clearing the case, they would knowingly send an innocent man to jail and suppress evidence just to get a conviction, that shyt is harder to pull when youve got a decent lawyer......

you also have to have a plausible explanation for everything, where you get your money, how you can afford your car, whats in your bank account....etc etc... not for the police but for the jury....

you would think the shyt is so obvious but Ive been in court and seen dudes trying to explain how they own a $80,000 range rover but they unemployed

Look up some of their cases. I'm not jesus so I try not to be so damn judgmental.
I know some people get caught up, but it happens a lot less than people think. Most people get away with bullsh!t.

These people on First 48 are beyond saving for the most part. I don't know what kind of masochistic freak would watch this sh!t anyway.

I don't understand either. If they're dumb enough to know you don't speak with our a lawyer present, then they deserve to go to prison.

One thing I don't get is when nikkas go bang somebody out, instead of shooting straight out of town, they go 3 blocks down to they aunties crib like nikkas ain't gonna come looking for them there. fukk it, you took a life, yours is over, mine as well rob a bank and shoot the duck out. fukk staying in the hood.
Majority of murders happen off of impulse. Very little are premeditated.

These nikkass act on split second decision that they gonna kill. That's why they so sloppy at covering up and getting they story straight.

That's how they get locked up.

More the reason to shut your mouth until you speak to a lawyer. I not exactly sure what interrogation techniques cop use, but I do know they run your story by you for hours until they can find inconsistencies. And you being scarred shytless is going to fukk you over because your going to fukk up somewhere.

Also more the reason to commit another act, fukk hit a bank, grab some bread, then be on the run. I would rather die then do life in prison.

true fukking story..... they will ask you the same question six different times in six different ways....before you know it you will give a different answer to one you gave before and bingo theyve got you on an inconsistency/lie ....thats what the prosecutor is gonna use to hang you before a jury in court

A lawyer wouldnt allow them to get away with that bullshyt...when youve answered a question once he wont allow them to ask you the same question again

Man, it's terrible that people get caught up in the system. Your best bet is to avoid it at all costs. Even if that means picking new friends.

Even though I'm willing to bet most people who end up in the system are doing things to put them in that situation (though maybe thinking otherwise would be too scary a prospect and I'm reassuring myself here), I wouldn't be so dogmatic in thinking that as long as you do x and y, it will always equal z. Like in the link I posted, the first guy got taken in simply because the month long friend of the victim was asked to throw out a name she thinks might give them some headway in the case and she said "Oh I would talk to the next door neighbor :ehh:" and that was all she wrote. You never know, it could be you one day.

There is a argument to be made that the system is not about justice as it is about efficiency to get a case in and out of court. Its done under the pretense that the constitution guarantees a fair (:pachaha:) and speedy trial. There is a reason why plea bargains or trial by judges are pushed because they're much more efficient and speedy and there have been studies that claiming your right to a trial by jury actually tends to be more punitive and is used as a way to coerce defendants from using that option. This system leads to things like questionable interrogations and tactics used to speed up the process.

In regards to the first 48, there have been a few episodes where the way the cops went about things made me pause.

Yeah I always thought it was bullshyt how a judge will punish someone for taking advantage if their RIGHT to a free trial. That's bullshyt man. fukk the judge, prosecuter and the .D.A. I won't say fukk the police because their are some good ones out there who care about doing whats right and risk their lives in the process.
