But are any of you dark skin women? How can you deny someone's experience without having lived it?
Same way Black women deny the nikka Nerd's experience, when he claims that he doesn't get love from Black women, and only gets love from White women. Black women will be quick to roll their eyes at that assertion, many will claim that they KNOW Black women who date Black nerds, or claim that they have dated a Black nerd or two. They counter his claims and experience, with THEIR claims and experience. Same situation here.

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
It's all bullshyt.

One minute they'll tell you that they don't care about men's opinions the next minute men are the source of all their self esteem issues.

The key is not taking anything that comes out of a woman's mouth seriously. That's what holds us back as a community. We get tied up in all this ovary-babble while real issues are left alone.

Not gonna defend the women too tough, but I say that depends on age. Maybe some those ladies born after 2000, because hardcore rap and the height of the 90's drug era were winding down, may be telling the truth. However, black women born between mid 70's-90's..... A lot of those black women WERE NOT fukking with nerds. They get highly upset when you call them out(because the evidence is clear with many of these women... never married, multiple kids by multiple men, no/little education). I can't speak on younger women though. Even though these couples are out of my age group, husband and wife combinations like Barack/Michelle Obama or Ben Carson and his wife weren't celebrated during the Crack/Drug Era, thus the fascination black women, born after the mid 70's, are supremely fascinated, especially with the Obama's.

I do agree that women, old and young, use BS rationalizations and deflections when their terrible choices are put on blast.

Yawn. Give me a break. These are the same women who dragged blue ivy for her natural hair meanwhilw praising how cute mixed race north west was. They wouldnt support a natural dsbw any more or less than anyone else would.

Black women like light and bright just as much as anyone they complain about does. Im tired of the hypocrisy.

The most basic, ignorant people are usually the loudest and you just lumped all Black women in one category with them. You fail to mention that it was also other Black women defending Blue Ivy too. Erykah Badu, Fantasia, and countless other dark skin Black artists solidified fan bases and support from Black women.

Beyoncé and Kelly was in the same group and black women choose Beyoncé.

This is false. Beyonce earned her top position through her work ethic and solo albums. She was not the most liked in DC. I'm speaking as a DC fan since day 1. Latoya and Latavia were the favorites. Kelly and Beyonce were overlooked bc there were two pretty dark skin Black women in the group. Beyonce got hated on a lot being the lead singer bc DC's Black fanbase wanted more of Toya and Tavi. Message boards went crazy when they were kicked out, add the fact that the groups manager was Beyonce's dad and just know Beyonce was hated/ disliked well into her solo career. Beyonce solidified her number one spot through her work ethic. Compared to Kelly she wanted her success more and she earned her fans. That's why Beyonce is favored now. If Kelly had even as much hustle as Michelle with better music, she'd be a bigger star. You can't compare her to Bey bc Beyonce wanted the glory....she set the goal and put in work to be an icon. Kelly only wanted to be what she is now, booed up with a child. Too bad it didn't work out with her and Roy.

This is true because in both cases I feel both groups are mainly exaggerating and passing the buck for being unattractive, wack socially/physically, broke, not interesting, etc. The sounds good sympathy excuse of colorism or being a nerd works esp online because its soo many that want to believe that trash when IMO most people have a list of,things before that that's stopping them from success with the opposite sex.

Colorism definitely exists and some people do use it as a crutch.

Some people in the world definitely look for ways to escape reality, why so many addicts in the world being drugs, food, sex, relationships, etc. But people will use colorism to escape their blackness. Blacks will use whites to escape their blackness and same goes for using light skins as well.

I emphasized with my darker skin blacks because dark skin has been put at the lowest of the low in the minds of people but one should look to overcome that.

Among my peers from middle school, high school and college......almost all of us are dark-skinned black men or non-black (white, Indian/Pakistani, Vietnamese etc).

The darker brehs either married darker black women or white women. Dark to me is like around LeBron's complexion for reference. I don't know any brehs that really chased light skinned women.

For some reason, we just didn't have that many lite-brites. The light skinned girls dated the whole spectrum and didn't show a particular preference. Light skinned brehs dated brown/dark skinned women and Latinas.

All the dark skinned women ended up with comparable men in quality. I can't think of too many that are single unless they just chose to be alone for a bit. Maybe there are more lite brites in other cities but Dallas seems more heavy on dark skinned blacks which gets reinforced by the Nigerians. Feel like Houston has more light skinned people because of proximity to Louisiana and shyt.
