reTIreMEnt: THE ALBUM (01/22) ALL DSPs
I don't find his music boring in the slightest. In fact I find his music one of the more engaging works out of a lot of his contemporaries; it takes a little more attention to appreciate, but it runs a lot deeper than what most people would like to think.
Perfect insight. Really matured from a dope punchline rapper to a deep, metaphorical, insightful, game-droppin wordsmith. That's the only way to describe it. There were so many points where I could've STOPPED being a Banks fan, but after really digesting his work (n/h) and really paying attention, I've caught myself more often than not, taken aback like
This ain't the same Banks I grew up to. I'm real happy for duke, being content, and in the mix of some large shyt that's potentially about to go down with 50 and the Unit.Cats really don't understand that son tours literally ALL the time. Like ALL this nikka does is write raps, smoke, fukk bad foreign bytches, and make show money, while having ties to a legendary (if not now, then in the future) rap group, and arguably one of the most influential MC's and hip-hop to business-world figures (50) of all time. It's like reaping the spoils without dealing with as many troubles.
Sure, he has far more potential to gain more money, fans, and features/ventures, but how could you NOT be content living a life like that? Less media attention, less industry fukkery, less expectations/pressure, less negativity. And son can still fly out to Sweden, Brazil, Japan, Egypt, Turkey, and blow bad bytches backs out nobody's even ever heard of
That's my PLK. brehs.Ain't even gotta rap, but he's like Memphis Bleek x 1000
