we keep saying a direct handout wont work. i said make it voluntary. it seems everyone is afraid to ask for that money. everytime the convo comes up. someone is either bending the convo into "so so who's going to get it.. so so...what are black people going to do with the money..." and we get off the subject.
Do you understand why i said make it voluntary? Since we know politicians for the most part (congress as well as the pres has to come together on something like this) are not going to mess with it. but that doesnt mean THE PEOPLE can't pay into it on their own if it was a voluntary choice. Give them that option. it wont hurt them or us to have an OPTION on the books.
Now i agree, we should be exempt from property taxes and if you ask me the way we get treated around these parts. where ever a black person stands should be sovereign. i use to think that moorish law was nonsense. well it is to some degree, but the idea of sovereignty isnt. This means these cops can't mess with us. We would have our own police force and our own courts. we could have our own jails if we so well pleased. but what i dont want is to be pushed off to the side into some wack piece of land that no one wants. I aint giving up the coasts so easily. i'm not giving up the prime spots where our agriculture resides, etc.
but here's the one issue with us not paying prop tax. what happens in all or mostly black areas? prop taxes are used to build up and fix the city you live in. are areas are already treated like 3 world countries. what happens when we pay 0 tax dollars? how would they know how much $$$ to push towards those areas?

? THe problem is what's done with the money does make a difference to me. If the government wants to force a reparations tax then i'd be behind that, as there's really not much else I could do. I'd still like to know how it's being spent.
You made this "tax" optional which means in order for me to make a decision as to how I want to spend my money well then yeah I want to know if it makes sense for me.
If this collection plate was goign to be used for education I'd be more apt to say yes vs being earmarked for recruitment of more black soldiers.
HOW it is spent can be almost as important as collecting it.
It wont be for education. its a straight monetary Pay out. Thats it. at least for now. I'm keeping it simple. We can talk education, jobs, blah blah blah... land, property taxes, etc. etc at another date. keep it simple. pay in cash for cash payours.
Dont go asking but but who's going to get it specifically. thats not your business if you're not an AA. let the AA's make that decision. "GET OUT OF MY POCKET." just pay if you so well choose or Dont. real simple.

They wouldnt let yall in like that.
And for white women. if it wasnt for the black struggle, you wouldnt have what you have today(still deserve more to be equal to men).
Like i said in another thread. every single foreign person or person of another minority group should salute black people when you see them based on what we've historically have done for yall. when it comes to your freedoms in this country. same for the gays since you keep trying to ride our coattail.
