As long as you get a natural burial your body will become nutrients for plants and wildlife continuing the circle of life
If you get a traditional one you’ll be mummified in a box surrounded by cement
Cremation will turn you into gas that pollutes the earth
Either way you not gon experience any of that shyt

I believe in god and follow him ( I don’t like the word Christian anymore , too many moronic evangelicals and trumpers have perverted it ) but I’ve read so many afterlife (non Christian books )
People floating outside they bodies and being able to observe and remember what was being said and what doctors or people were doing when they were dead or unconscious.
I believe there’s zero chance it’s just black after we die

What if when you die, you simply cease to exist…forever?

What if our consciousness is simply a function of our biology/chemistry? And when you die…that’s it.

Is that a scary thought? Humbling? Would it make you appreciate life more? Or would it make you question why you are even here?

I'd be less afraid of dying if I knew that's what it was.

A big reason why I'm afraid of dying is the eternal torment that some of these religions promise for not being a believer.

I think we as humans think waayyyy too much of ourselves... Just live your life to the best of your ability and be good, and don't worry about the one certainty every living thing must face.

All I know is i don't believe in that heaven and hell bull some of these geniuses use to make themselves feel better or be on a pedestal.

That's basically the main reason many people "believe" .... The fear of what would happen if they don't.... After a certain age that nonsense went out the window for me... Im gonna burn for all eternity because i don't "believe"....
Yea ok...

Living after dying doesn’t sound logical at all, but there are many things in this world that don’t make sense and can’t be explained.

Either way, it’s not really something worth thinking about. All of us share the same fate and whatever happens to us, happens. Enjoy life for what is now instead of worrying about what might or might not happen after the credits roll.

There isnt. Common sense will tell you that the idea of heaven and hell...and dumb ass shyt like reincarnation were created out of fear. People dont like the idea of dying before "living". Or being dead and being surrounded by a blackness that they cant see, a numbness they cant feel, and a silence they can't hear. Its scary. People like the idea of their lost loved ones in some clouds enjoying themselves more than the reality that they gone forever. Now I don't have any problems with people having their set of beliefs (as you can see I have my own). But you shouldnt use religion as an excuse to hold back on life so you can avoid hell or try to convince someone to let you in the pearly gates regardless of whats on the otherside. You want heaven? Go create your idea of it now while you're alive.

Facts.

Im a Christian and I don't believe in Heaven or hell, but thats not to say I don't believe in the "afterlife".
I believe when you die your energy will be recycled.
But you don't need to worry about that because you won't have any memory of it.
this. the brain restores our memories (thats why we dont know where our energy was before being born), and that will perish. our energy on the other hand recycles. where does it go? we dont know. we dont have the technology to know such a thing. with quantum physics being discovered some believe we simply transfer somewhere else in the universe. doesnt matter tho, the harddrive that is your brain will be deleted, so you wont 'see' it.

No, arrogance, speculation and blindness is believing that something of which you have no way to calculate the odds of happening, and cannot demonstrate did happen is more likely than a naturalistic explanation. Just because one specific outcome required a large number to events to happen in sequence, it does not make some alternate hypothesis more likely. It's just a lack of understanding of statistics on your part.

It's like if you calculated the odds of being dealt a royal flush in poker, and comparing that to the odds of ... something of which you have no data on. We have exactly one universe to observe, and zero demonstrable evidence of any entity outside said universe. Not to mention, the odds of receiving the five cards that make a royal flush is no less likely than any other particular but "random" set of five cards. We imbue significance to the cards after the fact, but you're just as likely to get Ace, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit as you are to get, say, the 5 of Clubs, 2 of Diamonds, 9 of Hearts, Ace of Spades, Jack of Diamonds.

Isn’t it arrogant to think you’re so smart because you learned statistics that you can come to a definitive conclusion about what happens after you die? :jbhmm:

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Wrong question. You should ask 'What is the ultimate purpose of living?'

Miss me with the Conan the Barbarian quote.

Anyhow, no one knows what happens once 'you' no longer inhabit your body, but, if nothing happens, then 'you' did/experienced all that for nothing and your life was ultimately meaningless.

Some will say 'But there IS meaning since my life influences the lives of those around/after me.' Their lives are just as meaningless as yours so you ultimately influenced nothing.
