I always flirted with it, I just would get bored. I just like being functionally strong and athletic. I don't mind the attention it gets me either.

Once smart phones hit, for me around 2010-2011 I started hitting it 4-6 times a week. Fell off a few times; dislocated my hand in 2014, moved cities in 2016, covid... outside of that I've generally been consistent at least 3 times a week.

Started at 19 after I discovered an empty gym while taking courses during summer. Had no clue what I was doing but enjoyed the endorphin release/newbie gains.

Fast forward 20 years later and I still find time to exercise in some form 3x a week. Sun & steel are the best anti-depressants known to man.

I like exercise but I don't really like gyms. I love running in parks. Also going to the gym without being in some kind of competition gets boring fast

Man you gotta have a story when they ask dumb shyt like that......gass em up its fun breh :russ:

plus dumb hoes will eat it up :lolbron:
Shiiit it would be fun to do that lmao

But I hate people who cap about their athletic background because it's easy to confirm if it's true or not. I'm a sports encyclopedia plus I know a ton of college coaches, administrators, former players, etc.

a few months back at the gym:

Breh: Yeah I played football at Mizzou
me: Oh ok, so you played under Pinkel?
Breh: uhh uh, yeah, yep Pinkel was the coach

*did my Googles on the spot*

CAP

I grew up playing sports but never really lifted until I was 16 going on 17.

My mom had a friend who would do junk removal at HUD houses. He found an old bench and weight set and brought it to our house. I went out in the back yard all summer and started lifting and doing calisthenics. I've enjoyed hitting the gym ever since. Im bout to be 35 and people always come up to me and say "I know you played (college sports) somewhere"

Nope I just lift and still hoop every once in a while

One of the few pics of me lifting from around that time, summer 2007.

Narrow ass bench :russ:. I had to narrow grip the bar then adjust my hands to normal grip. Definitely fatigued out and had to throw that bytch off my chest multiple times

been monitoring my diet and in the gym 3x weekly since

Any major city in Cali or South Florida will recalibrate your mindset when it comes to fitness from an aesthetics standpoint

Football. My pops got me a bench and some weights at 13. So I been doing it pretty consistently for 30 years. I got kinda sick and flabby during the pandemic tho ngl. Plus I fukked up my back dead lifting during that time and dealt with a little sciatica. It barely bothers me now so I been going hard for the past year and a half again
