That's because they didn't pay through your insurance if it was someone else's car.

There is statue of limitations of up 3-5 years and they can surbrogate to try to recover money from your direct insurance if you provided the guys insurance carrier your policy info.



Nope my insurance paid directly. I would know.:heh: This happened summer 2016 btw.

They paid the claim with no hassle.. Even sent me paperwork throughout the process that's how I know how much the settlement was.

Thxs for clarification. Reason why I ask is cuz I pay these claims daily so we typically pay under the insured vehicle policy first.

State farm is very selective before they accept your risk. I think you need to have a established carrier before they will accept you.

Carrier like geico/progressive is in growth mode.
State farm is I think the #1 auto carrier. So they have to mitigate risk. Even getting a job wit them as a adjuster you can't just walk on.

Liberty mutual was on the same wave. But they re opened the books, hence their wack commercials
