Okay, then you could apply to an MPA program (master's of public administration) after college. I have a bunch of friends that went to Harvard Kennedy School and they get good government positions. :ehh:

Gotta get my math up and I just want to have a little something under my belt and get to doing it. I did school since 2 if you include head start. Need a breather.

:patrice: Breh if this is your passion you gotta go all in or nothing. No one wants to go in debt but if this is the career you want, you take the risks that are involved. Four years really ain't shyt and its best to doing now while you're still young.
Like I said, with all the shyt and stressful ass parents I couldn't do four years. I've beemn involved with professionals college people that fukked up my train of though simply lying to me. Now, I'm in a position where I don't know what to do. I already have a 10 grand loan that I have to pay back. When I had the grades to get a scholarship. Trust me, last thing I was is 60 or 70k debt. I wanna buy a house in 7 years.

:manny: you don't think a political career or almost any career is just as stressful?

I won't be going into the red though. I'm trying to get atleast a two year degree that won't hurt my pockets. Never said I won't get my bachelors just not right now. Maybe in my 30's I will.

I feel you man, but an AA degree for a political career is just as much a waste of money, unless you transfer into a 4 year college. :francis: You're better off just not going and try to volunteer for a political campaign nearby.

I may get a bachelors in my 30's. Kinda tired of doing school for a long time. I can do two years worth for now at nights and that's it.

I'm already burnt out from family and stress.
then politics isn't for you breh. trust me, it's the most stressful job you can have.
Huh? I just want a two year degree for now to get in a door with dealing with the community.
unless it's from an ivy league school (law, government and administration, international relations...) connections are way more important then your degree (and the ivy league degree only helps because it already got you connections in school, and associates degree isn't going to do that for you).
the best you can do is volunteer for a campaign. If your guy wins, and you managed to distinguish yourself, he might give you your first job. If you want to run for public office, you need support. not from your community, but from the higher ups in the party you want to tun for. They need to know you, trust you and think that your campaign is of values to them. That means that on the one hand, you deliver the votes and on the other hand, once you're in office, they can count on you to remember who got you into office, in case they need a favour. so if you want to get into politics, don't think about a degree, think of someone who is already in politics who you can be of values for.

I don't want to go to a university for four years at this point in life (I'd rather do two) . Also, I did well in college the last time I was there and got a certificate for grade satisfactory :jawalrus: Now, I plan to go back to school when I move up North. So, what's a good associates major that can help me in the political field? Because I do want to run for congressman or mayor in the near future:smugfavre: While I also do personal training on the side and volunteer/activism work (community organizer):blessed:

Any ideas? help a brotha out and don't hate TY :salute:
Don't waste your time with a 2 year degree. You won't be qualified for anything. Aim for a Masters at a minimum.
