Associates is better than nothing :manny:
It is I guess...but honestly I don't think there's anything specifically in politics that he couldn't do without it.my advice get his bachelors, strengthen his writing skills and get a policy oriented grad degree

Outside of that, he has to just start at the bottom as a volunteer, pound the pavement working for them, and hope whoever he's working for gets elected and brings him aboard with a salaried job. It's a major investment though with time and energy

No. Its not.

Its a waste of time because it doesn't qualify you for anything.

You'd be better off without it since it won't put you anywhere you need to be.

An associates isn't even enough to specialize in a certain field.

And truth be told, you could do your bachelors in 3 years if you really wanted to.

But you don't want it enough :manny:

Politics is hard, but you're trying to use shortcuts.

Oh, and what happens when you seek office, and lose? You have nothing to do. You have nothing to fall back on. You have nothing to return to.
How could I do a Bachelors in three years? See, you didn't tell me that.

I don't mind volunteering. Had plans to volunteer helping campaigns anyway.

I'm not interested in a Masters. I just want something to get my foot in the door.
Get a bachelors.

Man up and put in work.

You're going to fukk this up regardless, so just ignore all the 99% consensus in here and do what you want. You don't care to listen.

You just want someone to tell you you're correct.

This is why people on here chastise you so much.

You're too headstrong and YOU DONT KNOW SH!T about SH!T

fukk.

You're so stubborn bro.

I seriously wonder why or how you're so idealistic and naive and this is a prime fukking example :snoop:

This is why you keep getting exploited and taken advantage of. :beli:

And if you do summer school, AND load up on credits, you can finish sooner.

Its possible to finish a bachelors in 3 years. Maybe even shorter. You have to work harder though.

You can do this shyt if you want to, but you keep bytching out with all this half-assed talking you keep doing.

I'm trying to help you here. Take the advice from those who know WTF they're talking about.

You don't.

HUMBLE YOURSELF.

TBH, @ThreeLetterAgency is right on the four years. What I may do is do the two years at RoxBury take a semester off and then finish the last two years at Umass. I may give you some rep BTW :jawalrus: It's time we unite in solidarity :obama::handshake:

Didn't know you lived in MA, yeah definitely do that. Massachusetts citizens highly value education (this is the home of so many great universities) so I doubt an AA would cut it. Definitely try to get your education over with in your 20s so you can leave your 30s for starting your family, stacking your money, and making moves in the political world. :jawalrus:

Didn't see this thread until now.
You need to get a BA or a BS, and spend those 4 years either interning with various groups, including major political parties, super PAC bodies, consulting groups, large interest groups, or with the politicians themselves. At a minimum run with a campaign and work with College Dems, Repubs, Greens, etc.
If you don't already know someone you're kind of screwed, start to work with local city councils and the like/UN Youth action committees.
The Congressional Black Caucus has internships and fellowships every year.
You need to grind, unfortunately.

OP isnt serious lol he always makes threads like this.

Some people need to create imaginary plans to feel like they have something going for themselves in life. At the end of the day after a certain age if you are still talking about "what you want to be when yiu grow up" , your never going to do it.

In the internet age and as much as dude posts on this site if he thought an associates degree is worth anything in 2016 than thos field is definately something he isnt ready for.

Dude means well but is hard headed and refuses to listen to people who have been there and done that. Because of that he will always be a loser, because he is afriad to take the steps and necessary sacrfices needed for him to win.
