You tried your best. A for effort :pachaha:

Milton Freidman, Arthur Laffer, and Fredrick Von Hayek, were the economic advisors of Reagan and Margaret Thatcher in the UK
They were there to give an influx of Supply Side Economics which focused on lowering taxes, reduce government spending, decentralize Financial intuitions, and give incentives to businesses to produce. And did have military spending to end Communism as they thought it was a threat for foreign trade and supply side economics
Yes and those policies all failed and resulted in the crippling of the middle class and outsourcing of jobs. Just like in the 1920s when Hoover tanked the economy or when Bush ranked the economy or when Trump tanked the economy.

Those fiscal policies giving rich people all the money have not ever worked, and o my new deal type government spending has saved the country from total economic collapse. The neoconservative policies failed so miserably in the 1980s that Reagan had to increase taxes four times afterwards to make up for his stupidity.

Society is leaning WAY too left. And people acting "shocked" about this is straight up laughable :dead:

Democratic presidents Pre 2000 (Clinton, Jimmy Carter, JFK) would all be considered Conservative in modern day
There’s literally been right wing neoconservative fascist coups knocking on the doorstep of democracy across the globe for the last ten years, but you’re concerned over like three trans athletes. Cool.

You have to be an idiot to even make this argument. The Overton window has shifted drastically to the right.

Nah, Society AND Politics have been leaning way too left

Keynesian Economics (The Political heartbeat of the Liberal Left) is at an all time high. The Government continues to spend, spend, and overspend thinking it would be a magic elixir to fix the economy. The Government's over-response and idiotic handling of Covid-19 is a perfect example

-They printed $4.5 trillion in new money the past 3 years. Further inflating the US Dollar.
-On top of that the Government shutting down destroying the Supply Chain which makes consumer goods prices rise, rent prices rise, etc etc

Blog: The Great Shutdown: How COVID-19 disrupts supply chains

blog1.webp

But no one will say anything because "The Government is always right". As they continue to destroy Society and the Economy
I really wish y’all would stop using the Covid crisis as an example of gov over spending and fukking up, how can you look at Covid in hindsight saying they overreacted, 100s of millions of people could’ve died if people didn’t do anything

Are people becoming more conservative?
How is the country far left, the most progressive policy that happened in this country was ending segregation
Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnso, and fdr were probably the furthest left the country went

Every aspect of American society is experiencing rapid change. I think for a lot of people, the reflex is to anchor down into the familiar, the traditional. To hang on to principles that are perceived as "unchanging". To me, at least, that is the purpose of conservatism.

Today's conservatism is being accompanied by misinformation. So it's a beast of it's own. And as I think about it, maybe that has always been the case. But I think there is a place for it in rapidly changing societies.

There was all this noise about needing a woman on the Supreme Court. However, in her confirmation hearings, Judge Jackson couldn't provide the definition of a woman, when questioned.

Absolute confusion.

We need a woman on the bench but can't define what a woman is?

In a society where we are trying to blur the lines or remove them altogether, this is when conservatism should shine.

However, it's being manipulated by the elites for their gain, mal-aligned by progressives, and eating itself alive by those that consider themselves conservative.

This is cherry-picked nonsense when Clinton was FAR to the right of FDR, JFK, LBJ, and Carter. And Biden was on the conservative wing of the Democratic party for his entire reign in power from the 1970s to the 2010s. Obama was perfect status quo centrist as a president and said himself that in many ways he was more liberal than Nixon. Politicians (democrats and republicans both) took a hard, hard turn to the right in the 1980s and only recently have the Democrats been pulling back from that at all, and only partially.

Back in the 1960s we had strong unions, fairly strong corporate regulation, 70-90% tax brackets for rich people, effective minimum wage almost twice as high as today, ollege education was cheap, and were literally bussing people across cities in order to integrate schools. Since the 1980s all of that has been getting destroyed with the dismantling of unions, the elimination of most corporate regulation, one huge tax cut for the rich after another, complete stagnation of working-class wages, expensive-ass college, increased residential segregation with no move to combat it, and an ever-increasing wealth gap between rich-poor and black-white both.

I already mentioned it once - where the fukk do you get your information on U.S. History? Have you ever taken a course on American history or read a book on any of these issues? Which one? Or are you just eating whatever the Heritage Foundation tells you is true?

You completely ignored all the criticisms :dahell:

It’s simple: every time your conservative fiscal policies were enacted, it resulted in economic disaster and collapse that was only stopped by new deal type spending.

I don’t know how y’all didn’t learn this 100 years ago with Hoover, but republicans are slow on the draw, so

Because he knows literally nothing about American history. He's not from here, he's never taken a U.S. History course in his life, and he gets his information from right-wing propaganda sources.

Now you repping Capitalism now that I exposed you. Love it :pachaha:
nikka, what?
Whats your alternative? Capitalism provided the wealth that allowed for the creation of a thinker class that could spend millions, even billions on R&D. Capitalism is voluntary, unlike other economic systems that are coercive. As I said before , Capitalism is not immoral, it is amoral. Bsstards can take advantage, and good people can make everyone comfortable. Your problem is with cronyism and lobbyists, not capitalism.
:russ::mjlol:This is from my 2nd month on this site. You say shyt to say it.
