1. Realize that life is not short, it's LONG. And long as HELL if you make the wrong decisions.
2. Realize that your friends are not going to be there when you need them the most, nor will family or females. You are in this alone.
3. TAKE RISKS. I can't say this enough... TAKE RISKS. I didn't start taking risks until maybe a year or two ago.... my friends see the big difference in my life and how it's improved. Just a few months back I took a nine hour dolo trip to see a friend... shyt was awesome. Now I take random trips all the time.
4. LIVE LIKE YOU'RE BROKE. Or you will be. This coincides with #3.
5. If you are a person of color it's MASTER DEGREE/HIGHER OR GRIND ON A BUSINESS. No other options for us.
5. With that said... WORK REALLY fukkING HARD. You're 20. No excuse for not putting in 13 hour days if you have to.
6. With that said.... RELAX. Life is LONG. It's LONG as hell. Success takes time. Enjoy the ride. Enjoy your friends, indulge in cheat meals, play some video games, waste an hour on thecoli... you have to recharge.
7. Learn to FORGIVE PEOPLE no matter how hard it is. ALWAYS BE THE BIGGER PERSON. LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU APPRECIATE THEM WHILE YOU CAN. Trust me those random acts of forgiveness come back in the most random times.
8. Realize YOU CAN BOUNCE BACK FROM ANYTHING. It's never over. Especially if you start a business. I've been flat broke at least twice, my businesses have gone up and down. But I've also made 4 figures in one day more times than I can remember. It's a ride you learn to get comfortable with.
9. No more fukking EXCUSES. Anything that happens in life, is YOUR FAULT.
10. Plan to win. This game called life is a marathon. Play it as such.
This is really important (although I'm still in my twenties but I am nearing the end of it and I feel like this shaped my experiences and taught me a lot).

I have no role models or family members to shadow and I remember having that exact same feeling right before going to college as a first gen but the funny part is that I dove in college with everything I got and found out it was exponentially better than I ever could have even imagined. I had some unforgettable times with amazing people and It was much better than my high school years.
