He's garbage.

No skillset and he's soft as fukk.

I'd say he's the 2nd coming of Sean May in the NBA but that would be unfair to May - at least May was worth a damn at UNC

He is a tweener.

And worst of all, he doesnt like playing with his back to the basket.

If he had a decent perimeter game I would say he could be a stretch 4, but he doesnt.

Yeah he's going to have to develop a consistent jumper. Lucky for him he has the right name and college pedigree where teams will be willing to give him a chance. Personally I don't like him.

McAdoo is a tweener. He is quick for a PF, I guess. He has an ok short range jumper. He is a solid athlete.
Overall though, he sucks...

Smh @ me thinking this thread was about Bob McAdoo :snoop:

if McAdoo had Sean May's back to the basket game, he would be a high lottery pick. He dont got it.

he will be a first round pick, but I dont think his NBA career will be that long.

Marvin Williams if he stayed his sophomore year.

and @TheNig, most of the non superstar players do one thing really well. Be it scoring, shooting, rebounding, defending, setting up an offense, being 7 feet tall, etc. Thats how they are still in the league. Thats why Reggie Evans is still in the league, dude is a beast rebounder and its something a team needs. James Michael McAdoo does nothing at the level that Reggie Evans can rebound. If he can specialize in something, then he will survive. Since he cant, I am not convinced.

lol hell nah b...Mcadoo would be the number 1 pick if he was anything close to Marvelous..

If Marvin had a quicker first step he'd be playing the 2

He's fairly athletic but i haven't seen anything in him in almost two years that really stands out about his game. I know he's gonna go in the first round (maybe even lottery) because of his name and his pedigree but some team is bound to be disappointed. I don't think he'll even be as good as Marvin Williams is.

McAdoo has a little bit of skills but has far more athlete ability he rely on but his issue is Marvin Williams issue. He doesn't want to be the best. He just happy to help the team. I agree with the poster who said, he's not as good as Marvin coming out.

He's gotta improve his jumper and he's gotta get better at finishing around the rim. His defense is actually pretty solid. Free throw shooting and getting to the free throw line is easily the worst part of his game.

If he could improve his jumper like Hansbrough did, he would be dangerous. Right now his game is just too inconsistant.

Marvin was waaaay more advanced at this level than McAdoo. Marvin had already shown the perimeter game that McAdoo doesn't have, which will be his downfall. Marvin woulda been a beast if he had stayed another year, especially since May, Felton and McCants was already bouncing; he would have been the first and main option on offense. Might have messed around and won another chip that year. I kinda view McAdoo as Antawn Jamison, skill set wise at this point. During his time at UNC, Antawn was mainly a back to the basket player. It wasn't till he got to the league that he started showing what he could do facing the basket.

right now McAdoo's best move is to get the ball 12 feet from the hoop, hope he has a bigger and/or slower player on him, and try to quick his way to the hoop. Which ain't really the heat, since he only shoots like 55% on FT. Without a jump shot or a set of post moves, he won't be in the league long, and probably wind up overseas with Sean May. Which ain't a bad way to live at all... :manny:

He's soft and the game hasnt slowed down for him yet. He still plays too fast at times. He has a decent shot and he should be a better free throw shooter with his stroke. For the long run, he needs another year in college.
