I know breh![]()
nah im just joking...i made that mistake....
just remember that Big Boss was the original (Metal Gear solid 3, Peace walker and now mgs 5)
solid snake was his clone, along with liquid and solidus...
solid snake was the protagonist of metal gear 1 and 4
metal gear solid 2 you play as solid snake for 1 level, then you play as raiden for the whole gameSo where is Snake from 2? Why are we playing as Big Boss?

This is the best explanation of Outer Heaven. I already knew this before reading this thread. I thought it was obvious to everyone following the Metal Gear series so far, but I guess it's easy to get lost in the confusing maze of plot, Kojima pulls out of his ass half the time.I thought it was for the original intent from stopping soldiers from being ordered to die by governments. The same governments that covered up or used the soldier's deaths for political gain. That's why Boss had to die for America.
It was only then that he came to understand what had transpired. He
understood why everything had fallen into place the way it was. He
understood the boss's mission. He realized that the country she swore her
life to threw her away for its own sake. To a nation, her loyalty was an
asset, and her self was expendable.
Outer Heaven was built for warriors in a world where they were slowly
becoming unwanted. As olive branches spread throughout the world, the
times changed but soldiers did not. Big Boss had always been a solider.
Fighting was all he was good at. His dream, manifested in Outer Heaven,
was a haven for soldiers such as himself that sought to live their lives
without being the expendable property of a nation they no longer cared
for.
This is some ill shyt if you think about what has been going on with soldiers coming home from war.

So basically its a PMC for soldiers who still wanna be soldiers but fight on their own terms. A standing army with no nation to order them to fight that picks and chooses their own battles. This is the best explanation of Outer Heaven. I already knew this before reading this thread. Perhaps because I'm not a soldier that idea sounds absurd. Who really wants to fight and die on a battlefield for the love of fighting and dying? Wars exist because of nations, ideologies, and religions.
