"no framerate drops are allowed... ever!" is a pretty harsh requirement. these games also need to render 2 unique images (one for each eye)

on the Vive, when the framerate drops below 90, it drops the framerate to 45, and reprojection kicks in. this usually causes some noticeable ghosting. you can turn reprojection off, but then if the framerate drops shyt gets stuttery, and possibly nauseating

most of the leaks about the Neo have mentioned it helping with VR. my guess is games will aim for that 60fps with 120fps reprojection for the PS4, while the Neo versions will actually hit 90 or 120 fps
The difference is tho Sony has control on what is on their platform unlike its comp. I can make a Vive or Oculus VR game with no need for approval. So until proven otherwise I'm taking Sony's word for it :manny:

the experience will be inferior on the PS4 VR just like how the PS4 non VR experience is "inferior" compared to a mid-top range PC game. :yeshrug:

To a typical everyday gamer, this is a non issue. I tried the PSVR; i saw others triy it and these "concerns" aren't even something people care about once they got the thing on.

It's not going to be substantiated by the majority of people since good fun games will be the most important thing. Of course if you're online then the hardcore fans will mention it but the average person doesn't care. I consider myself a hardcore, more enthusiast gamer and once the PSVR was on, I was more concerned and wowed with the presence and immersion. I noticed graphical imperfections and whatnot but I didn't care because everything else was so cool.
It's obvious you'll get better graphics on a more powerful box. This is such a non issue. :manny:

come to think of it, did they actually say there would be no Neo exclusives? :patrice: I know that was said about the Scorpio, but the Neo hasn't even been officially announced yet

I get ur concern, but I have yet to hear any bad impressions about performance on any PSVR game. I ain't a tech head or nothing like that.

Is going from 60fps to a dip of 56fps gamebreaking or noticeable?

Idk.

I just know when shyt go from crisp as hell to slow motion. That's how I notice

They're repackaging PS4 games for the Neo release which is why it is totaling over 70 games at launch

there isn't an issue. it's just a conversation about tech, and how it will work. but yall are so quick to get defensive about shyt

granted the OP and thread title are definitely bait. but some of the responses aren't much better. it actually had to be explained that 6 ft x 10 ft is 60 sq ft
