I own all NL albums 95-01 so I guess I can share my opinion
I gotta agree with Life Or Death EASILY being No Limit's greatest album...came out during No Limit's hottest time, basically a non-filler album with some of the greatest gangsta rap I've ever heard (Ghetto Ties, Survival of The Fittest, Akickdoe, A 2nd Chance, Don't Play No Games, Picture Me, The Truest shyt...)
#2 is Mac's World War 3 - seriously overlooked gem, better than Shell Shocked, more personal, less features, had an eastcoast feel to it at times
#3 is Tru 2 Da Game - THE album that put NL on the map for real, it's NL's version of 36 chambers basically. great samples, filler-free, the Miller boys were HUNGRY for this one
#4 is Fiend's There's One In Every Family - when I bought this, I bumped it like 4 months straight every day, shyt has so much replay value, especially the 1st and last song, remember Live Me Long? that shyt deep as fukk!
#5 is I'm Bout It OST - loved it, many new soldiers showcasing (Fiend, Mac, Steady Mobb'n, Sons Of Funk...)
honorable mentions: Ghetto D (never was the biggest MP solo album fan, he was all over the place, but this album might be the South's most important ever), Give It 2 Em Raw (self-explanatory album title), Street Life (similar to Mac, Fiend's 2nd album is more personal and more focused, TOIEF is still slightly better), Charge It 2 Da Game (hate on Silkk all you want, but he had some of the best production of all NL releases here - the first 5 cuts are amazing) and Unlady Like (Mia went hard as fukk on this one)
